  • That's Ok, let them stay in their union. I won't be in one, will work twice as hard, and be recognized for my achievements without having to pay dues and answer to your union boss. Maybe even one day I will be their manager. So yea, stay in your unions while I use my work ethic to succeed as an individual. P.S. I am a Marylander, we are not ALL like that guy.

  • I'm glad I don't have a union job

  • Didn't I see this thug in a Disney cartoon?

  • this is classic

    thanks for posting

  • fuck scott walker

  • well I guess if it weren't for unions, clowns like this guy wouldn't be able to get a job

  • FUCK UNIONS---I DARE ONE OF YOU DOUCHEBAGS TO COME WORK FOR ME AND DEMAND THINGS---I WILL FIRE YOUR ASS SOOO QUIK IT WILL MAKE YOUR HEAD SPIN----FIRE ALL UNION WORKERS !

  • The usefulness of unions has changed over the years. California is ate up with unions and they are in serious trouble. Texas, on the other hand, is a "right to work state" and the differences are astounding. Texas, in the last five years, has created 80% of the nations new private sector jobs.

It seems to me that the unions,in general, are causing more problems than they are solving. One SEIU employee in Houston turned in around 23,000 fraudulent voter registrations. Then there is the NEA.

  • @Ryboy1381 I know, point taken. I just wish all this crap was not happening. As much as all of us may disagree on Unions etc, the fact that crooked politicians caused all this anger among us really pisses me off. No matter what, we are all Americans and I respect all my fellow Patriots. i do hope somehow things work out for all of us, but it seems like this path we are on is definately the wrong one. I just feel helpless in this whole thing, so when I rant on I guess I feel a little better.

  • @Ryboy1381 My brother loves to tell me how he sleeps at work etc. My friends who are cops are always sleeping in their police cars. My brother worked with me for 2 weeks and could not handle it so he joined the union and now has it made:) I was in his Union 11 years ago and left because of the corruption, fighting about overtime, and just the scumbags that worked there. . And I respect ANYONE who works hard for a living union or not. Nice choice of words by the way, It really helps your cause.

  • @Ryboy1381 my brother, father both in a PRIVATE union- easy well paid jobs- me i do roofing with no pension, no annuity, pay my own healthcare, no paid vacation, sick days or holidays- i could care less about these union cry babies. even my own brother, dad complain and they got it made! typical GREEDY SPOILED LAZY PEOPLE

  • DON'T MAKE FUN OF THIS GUY, I GAVE HIM THE WRONG MEDICATION AT THE PHYSC CENTER.

  • @justonefirefly1

I think another area to look at is homeschoolers, though I don't have any stats for their numbers as far as population per state. But, when homeschoolers do take SAT's they are scoring 30% or more, on average, better than public school kids.

So in a state like Iowa that already has a lower SAT participation, "IF" they have a high population of homeschool kids, that could possibly skew overall test scores.

  • @justonefirefly1 If we look at the bottom 10 states as far as SAT scores, we see SAT participation 43-92% with an average participation of 68.9%

In other words, the states with the lower tests scores have a MUCH LARGER sampling of students taking the tests, allowing for more of a chance for lower scores. Compare Iowa at the no. 1 SAT ranking with 3% of its students taking the test vs Maine, ranked 50 and 92% took the SATs.

  • @justonefirefly1 What is REALLY telling about the states ranking and ACT/SAT scores is NOT SIMPLY ranking, but participation in the tests.

Sates like Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Missouri, Michigan, S.Dakota, Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska and N.Dakota are in the top 10 of SAT scores, but have only 3%-7% participation in the SATs-These are the people who are EXTREMELY serious about going to college. Averaging 4.6% participation.

  • @justonefirefly1 I looked up the stats you posted on the 5 states that don't allow collective bargaining.

    Your stats are from 1999

    These are the current stats

    ■South Carolina – 49th

    ■North Carolina – 38th

    ■Georgia – 48th

    ■Texas – 45th

    ■Virginia – 34th

  • what a bafoon, it is sad that there are still guys like this out there in 2011. Every union I have been in has done nothing but fatten their own pockets and cared only about getting our dues. The day for needing unions in most cases is long over.

  • Only five states do not have collective bargaining for educators and have deemed it illegal.

Those states and their ACT/SAT rankings are as follows:

    South Carolina -- 50th

    North Carolina -- 49th

    Georgia -- 48th

    Texas -- 47th

    Virginia -- 44th

Wisconsin, with its collective bargaining for teachers, is ranked 2nd in the country.

  • He may be a bit "rough"... but he's totally right.

  • @justonefirefly1 The DUMB CITIZEN STATES I SEE! Let's keep um dumb!

  • @justonefirefly1 So what you're really saying is, the teachers in those states SUCK so bad, that they fail to educate the students well enough, so they should be paid even more money, to do the same sub par job.

  • @mountnman3609 NO DUMBASS ARE YOU FROM SOUTH CAROLINA OR SAUDI ARABIA? GOT YOU NAME TAG ON SO YOU WON'T GET LOST

  • @justonefirefly1 Wow!!! What a good comeback. And all capital letters to boot. I bet it took you a whole 5 minutes to think that reply up.

Hey just fyi, "got you name tag", should be "got YOUR name tag".

By the way. Government spends approximately $11k per student on education. Homeschool parents $400-$600. Homeschoolers score on average 30-37% higher on act/sat tests. Most homeschool parents don't have degrees in education, but STILL educate their kids better than most teachers.

  • @mountnman3609 Kiss my VET ass and go to hell. Is the spelling to your liking Saudi Arabian, fox watching, anti American, terrorist, hijacker scumbag pussy coward?

  • @justonefirefly1 Wow!!! Tough talk on the internet. Did you have to look those words up in the dictionary, for meanings and spellings?

So your a VET. Your still a half wit, who can't spell or punctate, and thinks that name calling equals discourse. Just like the guy in the video. Can't put forth coherent ideas, so you revert to talking points, rhetoric and name calling.

How about a careful, well thought out rebuttal, to the matter of public servants and collective bargaining?

  • @mountnman3609 KISS MY VET ASS ONCE AGAIN

IT IS THE BIGGEST SHAME IN THE WORLD THAT ANY AMERICAN BLOOD WAS EVER SPILLED FOR A FUCKING RACIST LIKE YOU.

  • @justonefirefly1 Racist??? I NEVER said anything about race. You're the first one to mention race. Seems to me you're the one with the issue of race. Why is that? Feeling inadequate, that you can't hold a conversation on the issue, so you revert to swearing and name calling?

You're sure impressed with your vet staus. Do you think, that somehow makes your view more special? Do you think your the only vet? What, can't coalesce cogent thought, so claiming vet status is a substitution for it?

  • @mountnman3609 Comment meant for the other racist.

Yes my VET status makes it clear that I am an American - not a pussy coward like you. Kiss my VET ass

  • @justonefirefly1 Ahh yes- YOU... ARE AN AMERICAN... with a small penis

Who wants other men, to kiss his ass.

Calling a person a pussy coward on the internet, thats SOOOO COOOOOL! I wish I could be COOOL like that. Where'd you learn to be SOOOOO COOOOOL?

Have I mentioned how COOOL I think you are?

By the way-I notice you haven't been able to talk any facts, just telling people to kiss your ass and calling them names...OVER THE INTERNET...Thats like flipping somebody off while driving away

  • @mountnman3609 YOU ARE A KOCK SUCKING WHORE FOR THE NAZI REPUBLICUNTS.

KISS MY VET ASS BECAUSE I WON'T FORGET ABOUT THE REPUBLICUNTS WHO WOULD NOT GIVE HEALTHCARE TO THE HEROS THAT RAN IN TO SAVE LIVES AFTER YOU FUCKING HIJACKERS ATTACKED AMERICA -

  • @justonefirefly1 Dude...Mountnman is playing you. He's flat out mocking you and making you look like and idiot.

  • @justonefirefly1 You've been pwned-give up while all you look like is an idiot.

  • We do not have the money! They are $3.6 billion in debt in Wisconsin. You think they're gonna be able to secure loans with this kind of thing going on? and borrowing money is not going to help the situation. They have a balanced budget amendment. Either the states and the country will go bankrupt and collapse in total economic anarchy, or the unions will lose.

    I vote unions lose

  • @meltdown53 dumbass - the unions took the cut 3 weeks ago. you dumbass whore

  • @justonefirefly1 then why are they still protesting, why are they not back at work instead of on the picket line...

  • @meltdown53 Because walker won't let them - READ THE BILL it is on line and what is in it is the fact that gives walker the power to create 35 more jobs that he will appoint to his cronnies and family members including healthcare and retirement - but they can't afford to pay the teachers. It also gives him the power to award a no bid contract to the Kock brothers to purchase (no matter how low the price is they offer) the untilites in WI - Now get off your ass and read the bill

  • @justonefirefly1 You might want to get your facts straight. The TEACHERS walked off their jobs in a "sick out", protesting political action. Walker has not locked them out. The bill, that the teachers are protesting would make it not only illegal for them to strike, which they already "can't" do, but it will make it illegal for them to do what they're doing now, concertedly calling in "sick", to protest.

  • Is that Danny Bonaduce?

  • unions are a big problem in this country, all the union members are only a drop in the bucket yet they manage to drive up the cost of goods ,and in cases of public service suck and waste taxpayer dollars.there are federal laws in place to protect workers we dont need unions .if you work for a city, state or federal government , you have no business in a union your first concern should be to the people you serve, not your pocket.

  • @ford46power Unions were developed to give better working conditions and better wages to workers, FROM profits from businesses that underpaid or created bad conditions. Government IS NOT business. Government makes no profit, which is what a business does. Government provides a necessary service for the public, which in turn is paid by the public. The taxpayers are the employer, and WE should be the ones deciding on what services we want and what we are willing to pay.

  • Hoover, a trained engineer, deeply believed in the Efficiency Movement, which held that government and the economy were riddled with inefficiency and waste, and could be improved by experts who could identify the problems and solve them.

The GOP today has the same FAILED policies of President HOOVER!

  • obama voter

  • Why does that guy look like a homeless man ! ! NO UNION = NO Problem

  • Cutting the budgets mean less jobs and less revenue. Where's the jobs, GOP.

You're full of lies, turning down infratstructure projects such as paving that is needed, now. You can pave an Inrestate stretch that is needed, now for $10 million that will cost $30 million if you wait.

Your economics FAIL and you're idiots. Where's the jobs?

  • This buffoon is the reason this country is broke. Over paid trash truck driver.

  • Bust these unions. Welcome to the recession. Pay for your health care...

  • Don't you id!ots know that Wisconsin Law provides FOR public Unions?

  • Pay a baby sitter

    $3/hr x 6.5 hrs/day x 35 students x 180 days/year = $122,850/yr

    Masters Degree? Min. Wage

    $7.75 x 6.5 hrs/day x 35 students x 180 days/yr = $317,362.50/yr

And yet, the Gov. seeks to punish them.

  • You are all KochSuckers.

  • So many ads from Koch's money ?

  • Wow this guy is delusional.

  • Santa Clause lost this elf to the union.

  • What a freakin' idiot.

  • He's a smarty smart smartie.

  • and he just sounded so well educated........

  • Psycho! I dont even have my sound on, and I can clearly tell this man is psycho!!

  • Drink much, union scum?

  • @billiejo333 How the meth lab you piece of trash shit bag

    kiss my vet ass

  • @justonefirefly1 How the meth lab????

Put down the crack pipe, take a deep breath, and try to make an intelligible statement.

  • @justonefirefly1 Wow! Your vulgar rantings are over these comments. Thanks for reminding us just what scummy people union members and their supporters are. Looking forward to your next rant to provide us with further evidence of such. Whatever you do, don't let up! Keep the rants coming!!!

    Signed,

Your favorite trash shit bag, billiejo333

  • The guy was right........

  • What a fool!! Sadly, this guy is rather typical of union membership.

  • This bum wouldn't blink an eye at taking a baseball bat to a car to show his solidarity. Detroit is mute testimony to clogged union brains like his.

The unions are acting like the cornered rats that they are. Unions protect the useless and worthless. When the Communists came to America they went to the unions. Clods like this imbecile lapped it up.

Like too many tics on a dog the unions have sucked us dead and then get angry that we died.

  • I do not know whether to feel sorry for this idiot or angry that because of unions he makes more than I do with a Bachelors!

  • Hey buddy, breathe deep the gathering gloom, and take another sip of the Kool-aid!!

  • wow is this guy blind to the world

  • ..this guy is your average liberal moron citizen here, in the People's Republic of Maryland. Maryland has 23 counties and Baltimore City...The liberal voters in Baltimore City and 3 counties control the politics for the entire rest of the state! Talk about Gerrymandering!

  • I recently retired with 30 years as a truck driver and teamster member. I witnessed first hand how a good number of shiftless workers tried to indoctrinate the new young members into slowing down and "sticking it to the company."

Private sector unions are somewhat useful, because it's the workers up against big corporations. Government workers are up against who? The tax payers? Big difference.

    This guy is clueless.

  • Gosh, he's so convincing! Makes one want to rush out & join a union! -not!

  • This guy is so sadly uneducated it's pathetic

  • This guy is the LEFT's version of "Joe the Plumber" except we all him "Joe the Dumber" and he & the union members are the ignorant ones!!

  • The Uneducated, Liberal Protester, Drinking Game: Take a drink every time this guy says something retarded in a raspy, smoker voice.

  • Is this guy for real??? Typical liberal nut.

  • Obama should have made this guy the new White House press secretary.

  • KILL ALL PUBLIC UNIONS AND STARVE THE DEMS OF TAXPAYER FUNDED SLUSH FUNDS

  • This is the face of the unions and the democrat party base. If liberals did not have idiotic clowns like this guy to manipulate they would not exist.

  • This guy is like a cartoon character. C'mon, kids! You know the words!

"I'm Popeye the Union-Goon Drunk *toot toot*,

I'm Popeye the Union-Goon Drunk *toot toot*,

Retired at fifty, and lunching on whiskey,

I'm Popeye the Union-Goon Drunk! *toooooot tooooooot*!"

  • moronsayswhat

  • This guy claims they are uneducated? He is coming across about as ignorant as they come.

  • Typical angry liberal idiot!

  • Don't you like how this ends with an advert fro Americans for Prosperity a PAC founded and funded by the Koch brothers!

  • I was there. Wow what a group. They really get the royal treatment...paid for buses...boxed lunches...some where staying at the Residence Inn in Annapolis. Union dollars working hard.

  • Private Employee Unions fight for the collective rights of their workers against the mean old capitalists, AKA The Man!!

Public Employee Unions fight for the collective rights of their workers against the mean old, er, uh, hmmm, AKA The Taxpayer!!!

  • I was in a Union, I thought it was horrible, pointless. I have another job now, no unions, very similar benefits, I agree, Unions help make this country better when they were first created. Unfortunately, they've been detrimental the past several decades because they keep lazy, uneducated people employed. If I get paid well and receive benefits w/o a union, why do people need them? They can't hold a job otherwise. Fix the education system and fix work ethics.

  • Hey, isn't that the communist party flag I saw in the video ... this guy is a communist even though he'll never believe it ... why? because he was taught by union teachers

  • Unions have destroyed our country.

  • How good could his union really be. It doesn't even have a dental plan.

  • @NBC1059 Now THAT'S funny!

  • @NBC1059 All I can do is LOL!

  • @NBC1059 Yeah make fun of the poor and working class. Try not sounding like a such an asshole next time.

  • @Champraves311 Hey thanks for your comment. I had no idea I had 29 thumbs up. This truly makes my day. Now to reply to your comment. 1. How could he be poor if he's union? 2 For your information I'm nonunoin working class there buttercup, and I make more then you now, and I will make more then you as you try in vain to pay of all of your student loans on that useless degree. Now you go and tell your marxist professor that you earned your extra credit. PS try not to use profanity next time. ;)

  • @NBC1059 My engineering professors have no reason to espouse political views.

  • I find it funny that people actually vote to keep the people who are oppressing them in power. How is this country supposed to get better when we vote in people who bring in failed policies that brought us here in the first place. It was because of strong unions that there was a strong middle class in the 40s-60s. Funny how once unions started to decline that the country began to decline as well.

  • @MrOlopez89 Unions have NOT been the basis of pay scales her in the US. Union membership has never been more than 20% of US workers in the history of the US. Right now, Y2010, union membership sits at 13% of US workers. So the implication that unions have driven the living wage is simply wrong.

  • union thug.,

  • Give this guy a banana to settle him down

  • That dude was AWESOME!!!

  • ROFL. Looks like most of the countries that relied on public unions have either collapsed already (Soviet Union) or are in debt with riots in the street and possibly on the verge of collapse (Greece). This guy is a product of ignorance.

  • Wow, I feel so stupid. I had no idea this country was founded by unions. Thank you Mr. Union Man. But one question, you said, "if it wasn't for the Unions to prop up the wages, we would all be poor right now. And then they cut taxes for the billionairs and blame it on the unions." Are they billionairs because the union propped up their wages?

  • This guy is a MORON~

  • got Kool-aid ??

  • He is a longshoreman, look at the manner of dress, the beenie and the attitude. He probably just came off shift from unloading a banana boat or driving Toyota's off a Ro-Ro. Straight from the docks of Sparrows Point or Dundalk Marine Terminal.

  • @dkkght46 If he's a longshoreman who just came off shift, search him and his car trunk to see how much stuff he managed to steal.

  • @56Edify Local 1429 International Longshoremen 1128 Hull St Baltimore MD 21230. Most longshoremen do not consider pilfering cargo stealing. They do not consider this stealing or pilfering because they do not steal from an individual but rather from a large company or industry that does not care for the little man, starting to understand their madness yet?

  • Union maggots like this guy disgust me.

  • He has spent too many years up against the bar drinking Natty Bo'. He is a union guy and so where Beth Steel and the UAW workers at Broening Hwy and where are they now? The unions ran them out of business when members would not make consessions to deal with outsourcing and lack of sales and now they cry about their retirements and lack of health benefits, too bad. Look at what got all you Marylanders Martin O Malley and one party rule in Annapolis.

  • That is a very funny looking man.

  • Take a look at his face of this union thug and you'll see a textbook case of schyzophrenia

  • If our country is based on psychopaths like this guy, stick a knife in us, we're done.

Isn't there some kind of union media master who watches videos like this and thinks to themselves that perhaps this isn't the face of unions that they want to be showing? Every time I see one of these videos it's as if the person talking won some competition on who can best represent all the bad qualities of unions and their supporters.

To get our message out, we need a 3rd grade dropout. Anyone?

  • @Luka1410 The top union bosses see things like this and they're fine with it. They think just like this guy. The main difference is that they wear suits and visit the White House.

The recent spate of violent incidents at union events is the inevitable result of empowering retards like this guy by telling them that they (i) make the country go and (ii) have grievances.

I think their grievances are bad genetics and bad upbringing. What a relief it must be to have scapegoats to blame it on.

  • @voltamp "The recent spate of violent incidents at union events is the inevitable result of empowering retards like this guy by telling them that they (i) make the country go and (ii) have grievances."

The recent spate of violent incidents at union events just happened to crop up after both Gov. Walker and the Patriot Action Network *BOTH* discussed putting plants in crowds to discredit the union protesters, actually.

    All coincidence, I'm sure.

  • @DrMojoPhD If you were honest with yourself, you would admit that no such plans have been put into action. You would also notice the honkingly obvious reality: that the people doing these things have the approval of the other union troglodytes around them. Maybe you think the entire union crowd is a plant. Come to think of it, there is a certain truth to that, although not in the way that you meant it.

  • @voltamp Actually the American govt has been caught planting people in tons of protests, deception and lies is their main propaganda and mind control tool. They have probably already done that, but too many people are upset over this for the police to send in a few goons to arrest everyone and think everything will be kosher. This guy is just retarded tho. Taking up for the Unions that were jump-start funded with mafia money.

  • @HorrorAngel666 no its because they exploit other workers to increase their profits duh!

  • Ed Schultz on his free time.

  • Hmmm, that doesn't sound like a Maryland accent. Did they bus them in again?

  • @bonnie1lass Oh yes he does, its not a Maryland accent but rather a South Baltimore accent after consuming some Marlboros and Natty Bo. And its not Balt-i-more but rather Ballmore. And its not Mary-land but rather Marilyn as in Marilyn Monroe!

  • “Work Union, We Screw the American People so WE can Live Better!”

  • typical union worker - couldn't get a job anywhere else, so the union is the logical next step. Does this guy realize that unions contribute jackshit the the GDP and GNP?

oh, and Trumka makes a quarter of a million dollars a year

  • Additionally, public sector unions are completely different. They are nothing but a scam aimed at financing the Democrats and bilking the taxpayer. The taxpayer pays the wages of public sector workers, whose paychecks are then garnished to fund their unions, which in turn play a huge part in funding the Democrats come election time. That's an unacceptable state of affairs. Progressive hero FDR himself recognized that public workers should never be allowed to become unionized, for good reason.

  • To the "without unions the country would be blah blah blah" crowd - please stop with this ridiculous left wing talking point. Whatever legitimacy or relevancy the unions once had in ensuring safe working conditions and market wages, that time has ong gone. Since then, unions have been involved in organized crime, have pushed up the price of consumer goods through coercing above market rate wages, and have consistently caused unemployment.

  • wow! if it was not for organized labor there would be no minimum wage, there would be no maternity leave, there would be no laws against child labor, there would be no restrictions on the length of the workday. you can all sit back and think labor unions are the problem, but w/out organized labor you wouldn't have anything. without organized labor there would be no labor rights. unions may make be a small % of the workforce today, but they set the bar for everything we have.and take for granted.

  • @JCAKK48 feel free to let us know what the unions have done in recent history, cupcake - the answer is: nothing.

  • He kind of reminds me of an older Danny Bonaduce.

  • Duh! Union workers only make up 12% of the population. Stop sapping the money from the rest of the hardworking people. You are NO LONGER ENTITLED to anything. As a matter of fact, you were NEVER ENTITLED! Go cry to your mommy!

  • Popeye's grandpa is off his meds again...

  • This is who is against the GOP ideas to fix the budget?

  • @maggie1715 The Gop has Ideas ? Newflash what Ideas!

  • The whole country was based on unions? That's a trick since the country was founded over 100 years BEFORE unions existed! What a moron.

  • WOW how offensive is that?! We pay your bloated salary, dude.

  • He who knows not and knows not that he knows not is a fool. Shun him.

  • Modern day slave owner. In his mind we should continue to work for his benefits

  • Rid the piggyback tax that will make everyone who lives in Maryland very happy. A few extra dollars in your pocket will be better or whatever amount extra you will be able to keep. That tax dosen't really. After nearly 40 years of that tax in existence it never helped the county residents. They claim its for roads but it dosen't help if your street is a alley type.

  • that guys an idiot!! the Unions are sooooo corrupt that they cant answer to their own constituents...And then they wonder why their enrollments are down? My brother is a State Union Worker, and from the storie's he's told me its no wonder we're going broke!
