i disagree with the point about pressing on the string. The sound produced would not be solid enough if it is just enough for producing a sound. Thus, there would not be much penetration if for performance.
I have predicted that there must be many different comments about this video, in fact, kindness comments are welcome. Meanwhile, I think I must clarify that the mentioned point of view is not created by myself. It was taught by the Great violinist Galamian's student.

我也有這個按弦太用力的問題,現在三個手指頭都起枕了
如果拉奏慢的樂曲,我也會提著自己不要太用力,現在可以說是比較好了一點,但如果要拉奏新的樂曲或較快的樂曲,就會一時忘記了提醒自己了......
不過我的老師是說手指要按弦直至碰到指板的

你這招應該也很不錯,我很多學生總是用過多的力氣按弦,故常教學生"用摸的",還有想像要用最小(ppp)的力氣按和拉她們會很緊張的樂段(通常左右手的緊張常是受另一手的影響),甚至要她們拉出沙沙的聲音來糾正按太大力的問題,練幾次之後的確會放鬆很多,還蠻有效的,跟你分享之...

其實, 除了林老師是這樣教之外, 著名的 小提琴教學權威, Mr. Kurt Sassmannahaus 在他的教學影片中亦有提及, 除了左手撥弦要用力按弦之外, 其他的按弦都是用最少的力的, 可惜很多人都不知道或未聽過這個秘訣, 便以為是錯的

F=ma同acoustic係冇咩直接關係... acoustic係有計埋tension但係tension constant時理論上邊個音都發到...反而當tension大左時音會sharp左令到音準有所偏差.講到大唔大聲問題其實只係支弓拉係邊嘅問題. acoustic都prove左如果弓愈近"馬仔"愈大聱...可能有人覺得violin大力都好D...不過都唔好用錯晒D physics concept去 explain反件事.

it doesn't mean that it has to be followed as a strict rule, just for reference when you want to play very very fast music
