I used to live in an apartment that had a copper roof. Oh, the sounds when it rained. No better way to drift off to sleep, in my opinion, than that ting ting ting and an occasional thunder clap.
@depfox You're in No Cal aren't you? We didn't get this deluge till today, But now it looks like it's clearing out:-( I don't like driving in it, but I LOVE being home and hearing and watching it. Hopefully you got to where you were going safely.
I'd take rain over snow any day. :)
