I have the twister two and I personally like the first one better even know I don't have this pedal but if I can get for cheap I be happy to add it to my collection.
@NunoMag Hey, no need to apologise. If something's shit. it's shit. Not much I can do about it, though. I'm just sorry that you were mislead by my video. I must admit that I haven't used this one since the video was filmed either.
That you are an excellent player, virtually skyrockets your demos to the top of the search. Great jon on this and on all demos I have seen you produce !!
Hey, im looking for a chorus that is really versatile, im looking at getting the MXR stereo chorus or the boss super chorus...will this give me that bright super chorus sounds but also them thick sounds of the mxr chorus and everything in between? and your tone is AMAZING!!!! with the twins in stereo i have to add as well, and great demo to its not like them home vids where you cant hear the pedals at there best
I use my T-Rex Reptile in my FX loop (which seems to dim volume and brigthness for me) and the Twister in front - any good or would you recommend another setting?
@MrBerglmir Howdy, there's a ton of info in the 'info' section of this video (directly below the video screen itself. Hope it helps. Let me know if you need more info. My general rule is - whatever works for you. There are no rules. Experiment and make the choice with your ears.
@Burgerman666 Cheers! I tweaked my amp settings a bit (still new to it as I used to use amp modelers only) and found a satisfying setting ("good to my ears") :)
@TRexEffects Yep. Ready again. Doing the Eventide stuff at the moment. Could use something a little less intense, heheh. I'll check out Ryan Adams fer sure.
Out here in Australia the T-Rex pedals still are the boutique pedals, but they're not that much more expensive than the rest, and I own a Mudhoney and it is really awesome! Adds a thickness to my sound I couldn't get with the amps distortion.
Very nice! It's too bad creditor is so hung up on price. He really has no idea what it takes to design and market a DECENT pedal in today's environment. I know from firsthand experience that the T-Rex products are second to none... Doesn't mean that everybody will like the final sound output, but you can't fault them for building a top notch product and having to charge accordingly. And unlike a computer, they're not going to sell a million of these things!
Deluxe Electric Mistress, equal, if not better, and 1/3 of the cost. Charging over 300 for this thing is almost as ridiculous as Gibson's overpriced guitars (like the Oxblood signed reissue- 20,000 dollars). look, I realize there is good technology in this thing, but a computer is much more complex, and there are good computers I could buy for the same price as this thing. I am tired of these elitists overpricing gear. Just because I am not rich I can't be entitled to good guitar equipment? pssh
Go and buy a computer then. It will look great on stage. And the EMD is not equal. Let's make sure of that: Chorus and Flange instant choice? No. Stereo? No. Light and heavy instant choice? No. Footprint? Twister is much smaller. Overall tone control? No. Your contribution to YouTube? Zilch.
Sure it has a few more options, but that doesn't make it sound better. It certainly doesn't merit a tripling of the cost either. Also by T-rex is the mudhoney distortion pedal. A decent pedal, but for 200 dollars? I got my EHX Big Muff for 50. It is more versatile and has more character. Contribution to Youtube doesn't matter, I have another channel where I post my music, but that is for me, not for Youtube. There is not $330 dollars worth of programming and/or material in this pedal.
Contribution does matter. If you make public claims of superiority then you'd better be able to back it up - in public. Otherwise people may get the impression, false or not, that you're just down on the asking price because you can't afford it. I'm all for comparisons, but let's see and hear the proof. Your proof.
And no level control. To me that is VERY important, I like chorus and flange after my distortion/overdrives, and without the level control they oversteer the sound. I like light light chorus/flange ala Dan Huff (Giant).
Nicely spotted PP65! Yes, I believe I did switch to the bridge pickup at 5:02. Not a Tele this time, but my favorite Clapton Strat loaded with Mick Brierley's hand-wound vintage spec pickups. Mick's stuff is impeccable. Thanks for watching and for the kind words. Take care, BK. :)
haha, loved the bits with Sadie in between them are hilarious!
Not a big fan of this pedal though .. there's a sheen on the tones that doesn't really take my fancy. I've been really enjoying my Deluxe Electric Mistress though. :)
Is it true bypass? I cannot find any information that says it is or is not.

@MrBerglmir one thing to always remember about the effects loop it makes the effect you have in the loop effect the signal in a less harsher way
GrowTheCaine 1 year ago
@MrBerglmir basically it wont be as unpredictable as if you were just to put it through direct input guitar to amp
GrowTheCaine 1 year ago
@MrBerglmir I think the problem may be with the amp!
I had a JVM and the fx loop seemed to dim the volume and brightness as you describe when it was engaged.
With my lonestar these pedals in the loop sounded magic, just my two cents, best of luck, James

for sure you can get an OK stereo chorus for about 120 bux, but that should not preclude a market for a 300 pedal.
