There is a shit one fro Xbox which is nothing like any other FPW`s and it uses your Avatars so that will be crap. But there is a new FPW coming to PS3 and PSP and probably Vita which is called Fire Pro Wrestling G.
@xHozzah Yeah that's actually the Japanese PSN version of Fire Pro Wrestling G, which was originally on the PSOne in Japan. It came out on the Japanese PSN in 2009. You can download it for both PS3 and PSP. And it's really easy to create a Japanese account.

@rwk1983 I haven't quite mastered the art of the cage yet, but I think you can only kick/punch people who are climbing near you, pull them off at the bottom, or do a kind of dive off the top. Not sure about any other moves, but they would be listed in the move editor in-game if they exist.

The new TNA mobile game on flip phones and slide phones looks a lot like Fire Pro Wrestling. It's a shame the more powerful iOS and Android devices will be getting something different. :/
@AllieRX87 fair point. I don't know if it did, but this 360 game is riding completely on the FP name, hence the only draw for fans outside of japan will be those folks who have been fans of the series and expect something at least as good as Returns.
when you do get accustomed to the kinks of how to work its system, it becomes an experience all its own. plus bein able to create 500 Edits(CAWs), 10 refs, 8 rings, 8 title belts & 8 designs for the rings and for your league makes the whole deal so much sweeter! and at only $10.00... how can you go wrong

I couldn't get into this game because the instruction manual I had for Fire Pro Wrestling Returns was in French! Arrggh. But just watching the computerrs go at it, I could recognize this games greatness. Wouldn't mind playing it again.

I just love this video so much, it's my favorite Firepro tribute, and one of the first Firepro videos I have seen on Youtube. I remember first getting this game in Feb 2008, and just be so bad at going through the menus, and playing the game. But after seeing videos like this, I had hope that this could be the best wrestling game ever (FirePro Returns). About a month or two later, I know the menus very well, can navigate throught them easily, and most important, can make edits, and play matches.

@Aaron02890 Fire Pro D has most of them at the start. Fire Pro Returns you have to download (or create them yourself), but overall you can use 'em in both these games. they're great (I have both)
@skieryz Actually the controls are decent, and it's only difficult to play if you never play it. What I mean by this is, When I first got it, I sucked. I gradually got very good at it, then stopped playing it for a while.
When I returned to playing it again, I sucked again. My timing was way off. Now I'm getting better again. It's definatly not the worst wrestling game ever.
I love how Fire Pro has always upgraded but refused to lose the uniqueness that has made it special. Just because you can make something look different doesn't mean you should, and they understood that perfectly. As a result; best wrestling game EVER (though the THQ games of 1995-2001 were a close second.)

Some loser started a rumor about a Fire Pro HD, turned out to be completely fake to try and get the company under pressure and make a new game. @pilat9149 Depends on which game you have. I never got a dreamcast and never liked the gameboy, but in PS2 , you walk into someone to grab, start by using square attacks(weak) until theyre weaker, then use X, then circle. Then you can pin. Its all about reaction time (or button mashing lol)
@Nfox0900 If you can win a match against someone who knows what they're doing by button mashing, I'd literally give you my car. There's NO way you can win by button mashing. It's completely based on timing. Button mashing is only gonna lead to losses and you never pulling off a single move besides a punch or kick. Just sayin lol.

@cujo652 Yeah, SvR looks pretty, but the gameplay is weak in all areas. These games are an awesome challenge, I can hardly beat a level 6 guy lol. I play SvR on legend and can get a perfect(no hit) match sometimes.
These games rules, graphics are not everything, to me its about gameplay and FPWR I still own it, I gave up on SvR 2010 and went back to my all time fav.
@ATHF10 You held out longer than me. '07 was the last one I bought. When women couldn't wrestle anymore (even CAWs) and the CAWs (and customization in general) started to get really strict, I gave up. My PS2 broke last year and my only lament and reason I'd buy a new one is so I could play FPR again.

The only other game in the series that didn't use timing I think was Blazing Tornado in the arcade (the saturn port had timing based grapples)

@skieryz Actually the controls are decent, and it's only difficult to play if you never play it. What I mean by this is, When I first got it, I sucked. I gradually got very good at it, then stopped playing it for a while.
When I returned to playing it again, I sucked again. My timing was way off. Now I'm getting better again. It's definatly not the worst wrestling game ever.

I love how Fire Pro has always upgraded but refused to lose the uniqueness that has made it special. Just because you can make something look different doesn't mean you should, and they understood that perfectly. As a result; best wrestling game EVER (though the THQ games of 1995-2001 were a close second.)

@carddealer758 Well, the game devs have never really cared for us over here in the U.S., or anywhere but Japan really... Some loser started a rumor about a Fire Pro HD, turned out to be completely fake to try and get the company under pressure and make a new game. It failed, and another game isnt expected anytime in the near future, but keep ur spirits up.

@Nfox0900 True,the whole HD thing was a April Fool's Joke,and I don't think the series can change much. Besides they always did the fake name,real wrestler thing. But today's wrestlers are simply not wroth making.

@pilat9149 Depends on which game you have. I never got a dreamcast and never liked the gameboy, but in PS2 , you walk into someone to grab, start by using square attacks(weak) until theyre weaker, then use X, then circle. Then you can pin. Its all about reaction time (or button mashing lol)

@Nfox0900 If you can win a match against someone who knows what they're doing by button mashing, I'd literally give you my car. There's NO way you can win by button mashing. It's completely based on timing. Button mashing is only gonna lead to losses and you never pulling off a single move besides a punch or kick. Just sayin lol.

the very best wrestling games to play !! much pleasure and fun !! it doesnt matter me if it is in 2d its a game !!!! the series smackdown vs raw is realistic and the wreslers look real !! but the fun and gameplay of fire pro is awesome !! greats from holland !! and tombstone from the undertaker hahaha

@cujo652 Yeah, SvR looks pretty, but the gameplay is weak in all areas. These games are an awesome challenge, I can hardly beat a level 6 guy lol. I play SvR on legend and can get a perfect(no hit) match sometimes.

These games rules, graphics are not everything, to me its about gameplay and FPWR I still own it, I gave up on SvR 2010 and went back to my all time fav.

@ATHF10 You held out longer than me. '07 was the last one I bought. When women couldn't wrestle anymore (even CAWs) and the CAWs (and customization in general) started to get really strict, I gave up. My PS2 broke last year and my only lament and reason I'd buy a new one is so I could play FPR again.

there's gotta be somethin we can do to get a new fire pro game. we as fans can get it done. just look what happened to family guy when it got cancelled. we have to write letters and buy more fire pro games, even if we already own them. this game and other fp games need to be played by wrestlng starved unhappy smackdown fans. i know many of them who don't know any other game but smackdown. its really a shame

I'm tired of missing dropkicks and running into the ring post. That's my experience with the game. But it seems like there are people who enjoy it, and that's fine.

Yeah , I respect that . I know that also because I have been playing this game for a short time and it does give me a hard time . But I keep playing trying to understand the control and I'm finally used to it . Give it some time and it will be good . Fire pro wrestling is known for it AMAZING amount of roster and moves . Also I think the graphic is good . But SVR games is known for it's AMAZING graphic and it's storyline . I hate neither .

@rockmanmegamanfan It's so upsetting. I read about these games for years and I finally get one. And I would rather not play it. I would have rather avoid it. I'm watching all these neat moves. All these complex moves that thq omits and brings back and teases you with, And I want to do this stuff. For all the holes in the game I'd like to see this stuff. But every time I shut my Playstation 2 down i'm always pissed.

I love this series. I want at least 1 more. This game covers what SvR never could. Customization. You can make anything and anyone in this game. In returns I found pre made AJ Styles, Bam Bam Bigelo, Kevin Nash ect.
