Pakistan army was responsible to break Pakistan because army chief gen. Yayha did not transfer the power to Awami leauge who won the election. Don't put responsibility on Bhutto because he was not in power, that time all the political parties from west Pakistan including Jimat e islami supported the military action.

he did so because he found it disgraceful to take part of opposition in a parliament where Awami League would be the government. he and his party created immense pressure over Yahya to postpone the assembly. by doing so he proved how much disrespectful he was to democracy and/or east pakistanis.
