I feel deeply sorry that a human being who could write music that was so beautiful, moving, and honest did not enjoy his own life. That pains me. May the Maestro rest in peace. Amen
@dreamsalot321 Relax, relax... just do your best during seating auditions. Area All-State really isn't that big of a deal and you have the rest of your high school years ahead of you, unlike me. Please, enjoy the lovely music we get to perform. I suppose I'll see you tomorrow... good luck! ^^;
Pity as said in the previous installment as there are also some fine things (love the Horn-playing!!!) - also the big climax isn't quite as rushed as with Iwaki (sad to say for him). Overall, Iwaki wins on the long-run while Gluschjénko gets certain parts better in places...
well, i think is not possible to make such a thing as TOP 5, when there are so many amazing composers around, and anyway it depends on the taste of the listener as well, everyone will have a different TOP 5....imo.
Tchaicowsky's autobiography is shown in this his last symphony, and the bitterness and loneliness that was present in the author is specially present in this last movement, One of the top 5 greatest composers of all times, the other 4? well Beethoven, Mozart, Haendel and Verdi, although tere are many others that make this a wonderful universe THE MUSIC, a word for the orchestra, a really nice and surprising finding excellent tempo, coupled together perfectly with the director, it sounds superb!
I have read some of your posts. You seem to be technically knowledgeable about music. Is this your top ten favorite list, or or the ten that you think were the greatest? Alternitively, are they one and the same?

@beethomozart The composers you mentioned are undeniable geniuses, but what about Bach and Wagner? They should not be omitted in that list.
