Yeah, Every job application I have seen for many years asks if you have even been diagnosed with depression. If a doctor prescribes an antodepresant then that is it! So, it is better to never get the meds for it if you ever want to get a decent job again. The jobs that don't ask or don't care are jobs so bad no one wants them so they can not be picky. You are gorgious and female so you can get jobs that ugly males like me can't get. Anyway, good luck !
When I went to Navy Bootcamp in Orlando many many decades ago we stood on the grinder in the hot sun at parade rest many times for so long a dozzen recruits would pass out of heat exhaustion. We were punished together but most often individualy. One thousand jumping jack or one hundred pushups were common. Blowing a piece of lint around the grinder was hard. The sand pit was crazy hard and messy on or barracks. Navy bootcamp is a breeze these days!
They should have saved the stall divider walls the heads in the processing, classroom, medical and SEPS holding tank USS Nautilus(?) buildings. Some the grafitti/tags on them dated back years. History died if they were not saved and put in mueseum or something. You posters said that they tore down everything, did they tear down the SEPS holding tank building right near the receiving? We called it Heartbreak Hotel and the washout tank.

C105 Orlando, 1987. Can't believe I remember my company number after all these years. The vid brings back memories but we didn't have canteens/water bottles, just water breaks.
Wait, we had choppers back then? lol, I thought this was going to be a really old video. I joined the Marines in 2001 myself. I love you squids, Semper Fidelis.
Wow, I joined in 2000 and I'm pretty sure my recruiter showed me this very video... Brings back memories. I hear a lot has changed at boot / great lakes... I hear they tore down all the old ships, rebuilt them and even shortened boot to 8 weeks. Anyone on here go through boot camp recently??
Orlando, Sept 1982 for me..was a bit different then this video, we didnt wear sneakers except for PT..Marching was done with boondockers only, no baseball caps, dixiecups!
I went through boot in 1969. Quite a bit different than this video. Same concept. However I assure you the DI's were more old school than this video shows. They actually punched a few laggards. Heh! Heh!
1:10...This is a co-ed company, or they call them divisions now I guess. Nothing against the women sailors, but as late as 1990, co-ed training groups were not possible. Age progression: makes me feel old when the DCP's (CC's) start looking closer to my own age. And this vid is 8 or 9 yrs. old. Does Great Lakes have the 51 push-up requirement at PT 2 like Orlando had back when? Anyone know? Interesting take (vid) on modern boot camp. For me, a blurred memory now. Regards.
six year vet.FC5 this is pretty close to actually what happens in boot. Change your life and begin a career. I got the big throphy in boot camp. check out my vid

2 most memorable quotes from bootcamp: #1 (from shipmate) "Petty officer, can we straggle?"
#2 (from Petty officer to shipmate) "Are you good at anything besides homosexuality?"
