If you would ever like to defend this video or any other video again, please look over what you type. Not only to make you look better but to make the video look better as well. What you posted actually made the video seem worse.

The 45 minutes I was referring to was how long the movie "Johnny Rainbow" seemed, not the posts. That wasn't very clear....sorry.
My take on the pen was that it represented tension; tension from hearing the arguing, stress in the home, etc. Most of us have sat clicking a pen mindlessly, or purposefully, at times. The pen was all he had in the situation. When he left he didn't need the pen anymore. Just my thoughts, illiterate or illegitimate - pick a card! :D
Johnny Rainbow and I are not affiliated. He just goes to the same school as me. So I would appreciate it if you stop calling us by the smae name... I'm a girl and he's a boy... there's a pretty big difference where I come from...

first of all, thanks for asking, and not just shouting crap at me like most people do. The pen was not very clear because we came up with that as we were filming the last shot. the pen represents his past life. so he drops it on the ground. and at the begining he is figiting with it.

Perhaps the comments have quited down. It should be possible to have this forum be that of a meaningful exchange of ideas, not vitriol. It might be that case that what was expressed by Mr. Rainbow was offered merely in humor. Regardless, if you're serious about your art it seems you'd want to learn from and explore how others approach it, whether you initial understand it or not. Certianly it seems a truncated view of film to say it is to entertain or inform.

WOW, amazing, how crappy this movie actually is. This video does a great job of saying nothing! TWO MINUTES OF IT! Put aside your love for this movie and go do something better then watch it, like racking leaves.
It spoke to the conflict many families have. I fully expected that a lot of them would be dumb and pointless...just something a bunch of silly kids would waste judge and audience time with. It was great that there were actually some filmmakers. Right on guys -- all of you. Don't let mean people get you down. These were never your competition.
There were only a few films that really deserved my time at the screening. I came to watch this one again because it had depth and power - and it shocked me that students were capable of capturing the mature subject matter. There were some others that didn't make it into the finals that I also thought were good. But for the ones that did make it I also enjoyed "Music - Pass It On" and "Love Grows." I definitely thought "Ball Point" deserved to win because you could tell it was taken seriously
WOW, amazing, both the video and the rude people who apparently lost to it at the festival. This video does a great job of portraying conflict and pain, a struggle we all have. Maybe if you put aside your hate (and your video games) long enough you could see that. Try some good literature, maybe Dickens or CSLewis for symbolism. The ONLY good thing about this video is that your music was original, and not even that great. Sure there were a few decent camera angles but otherwise it made almost no sense and your poor attempt at "making a funny" with george Clooney was and still is pathetic. i'm not sure who is using my name (or how they are doing it) but as I said before, WOW, amazing, the hatred some people can display when they find out that the sun doesn't rise and set just for them. Where are your mothers? Didn't they teach you how to play nicely with others?

Loved the movie, very thought provoking. Piano was a bit overpowering but I liked the music. I give it two thumbs up!!!

WOW, amazing, how crappy this movie actually is. This video does a great job of saying nothing! TWO MINUTES OF IT! Put aside your love for this movie and go do something better then watch it, like racking leaves.

It spoke to the conflict many families have. I fully expected that a lot of them would be dumb and pointless...just something a bunch of silly kids would waste judge and audience time with. It was great that there were actually some filmmakers. Right on guys -- all of you. Don't let mean people get you down. These were never your competition.

There were only a few films that really deserved my time at the screening. I came to watch this one again because it had depth and power - and it shocked me that students were capable of capturing the mature subject matter. There were some others that didn't make it into the finals that I also thought were good. But for the ones that did make it I also enjoyed "Music - Pass It On" and "Love Grows." I definitely thought "Ball Point" deserved to win because you could tell it was taken seriously

WOW, amazing, both the video and the rude people who apparently lost to it at the festival. This video does a great job of portraying conflict and pain, a struggle we all have. Maybe if you put aside your hate (and your video games) long enough you could see that. Try some good literature, maybe Dickens or CSLewis for symbolism. If your hate is dispensed so easily you must lead a sad life. Keep up the great work, Jacoborross. Congrats.

The ONLY good thing about this video is that your music was original, and not even that great. Sure there were a few decent camera angles but otherwise it made almost no sense and your poor attempt at "making a funny" with george Clooney was and still is pathetic. How you won something with this video I do not know, but one things for sure some judges wallet grew fat with your money...

Wow! I totally deserved to lose to that! So deep... I hardly even minded that that wasn't even a ball point pen! Go you! And it made so much sense! And such a brilliant title sequence! Enjoy your 600 dollars! Sure, mine was actually entertaining and funny, but your's was deep. So deep that no one understood it. I'd like to shake your hand. SO I COULD RIP IT OFF!!!
