Wonderful woman and I am quite shocked to see her on CNN talking freely about China not as the evil country that needs to be stopped which the western media keeps force feeding us but as a country that is slowly coming out of it's shell and hopefully soon will change laws. I never looked at the Olympics in China as she does but I agree with her it really is a sign that China is opening up and is changing.
i'm not gay but i watch lesbians so i am in full support iggybeenasty also supports gay right or homosexual sry if gay is a derogatory term iggybeenasty check it out
I notice BBC and Australia have reported the large scale pro-China protests.
However US medias, CNN, ABC, MSNBC, Fox News, are still blacking out on such news. New York Times arrogantly claims all Chinese are simply brainwashed.
It saddens me to see Americans are hardened by prejudice and propaganda.
That's deep. It must be terribly complex to try to reconcile all the contradictions she's trying to hold. I have to disagree with her insistence that the Olympics and the Torch represent peace. They represent occupation, torture, and the loss of human rights. But I respect the way that she's holding on to hope and making her participation in the relay meaningful.
God bless you Helen Zia! Fighting fire with fire will solve nothing. With patience, in due time peace will prevail as we (should have) learned from Gandhi and MLK.
Gay people are going to Hell. God hates them.
