I haven't seen anyone use the lefty serve out wide in the add court to the righty's two-fitted backhand so effectively, like Rafa did here; since Martina used it on Chris (which work for her very well, for a while).

IMO if nadal continues to play smart tennis he can go upto 22-25 Grandslams while Federer might barely make it to 20. In the end there will be barely any difference between the two.

I was so proud of Djokovic's performance even though he lost. He played nearly as well if not just as well this tournament as when he one his only major title, and he showed an awesome amount of determination and heart, too. And of course credit goes to Nadal for proving me wrong once again. (I never thought he'd win the Open at such a young age...thought it would take a lot more tries and struggles on hard courts)

@weezulB umm, much better h2h record. More slams than Fed had at the same age. Career slam came much sooner. Plus there's the thinking that if Nadal hadn't been injured for the better part of 09' that he would've taken the French and Federer would most likely never have completed his own career GS.

I don't think that at this very moment Nadal is better in all-time terms, but potentially, I don't think he has to win as many slams as Roger to be considered better than him(maybe only 13-14).

In fact, 12 of those 21 matches were on clay.
