the way you connected with each of your pokemon only made it harder to lose them and even though it was tough you stuck through to the end. I know everyone did, but I cried too and it was so sad to read your comics but also so beautiful to remember pokemon as a kid for me. this wasn't just a "nuzlocke run" because anyone can do a nuzlocke and when they lose a pokemon in a nuzlocke they get angry because they thought of the pokemon as a weapon, your "nuzlocke run" made me realize so much more.

And then there's Rick who got me into a lot of bands and songs, Nadine who taught me to never give up and enjoy what I have. Then there's James, he told me how you shouldn't get into revenge and to not go low. Odette says to me "hey, if you love someone, give it all ya got." Thank you locke, you gave me an entirely new way of looking at what I have and the friends I have.

I randomly stumbled upon this video while surfing YouTube yesterday and was so touched that I decided to check out the whole Nuzlocke run behind it. Fast forward to today as the circle comes to a close. Needless to say, after seeing all your amazing art and the story, after learning the fate of each deceased, I was even more touched after seeing this for a second time. Manly tears were shed. I haven't been so emotional in a long time. This nuzlocke seriously moved me. Every vid dedicated to one of your fallen Pokemon made me cry. Rick and Nadine were the worst for me, I just couldn't stop crying. And this vid, the moment I heard the music start, I instantly teared up and knew I would be crying myself to sleep tonight. I'll never be able to listen to this song and Miss American Pie without crying, ever again. Though, through this all, I can only thank you for making this. Well done.

The only thing I would want to see is for Locke to acknowledge that Gary lost a friend too... It would bring a nice sense of closure to show that the two were no longer enemies. But still, the best Nuzlocke I've read. Kudos to you for making such an impressive piece of work.

@MarziMadness Assuming you don't know how to google. A nuzlocke challenge is when you can only catch the first pokemon you meet per area and whenever a pokemon faints you must release it (it's dead.) There are optional rules such as no items in combat, no breeding and however not really an actual rule but it is implied, No trading of any sorts with other games.

But her mistakes and shortcomings have proved invaluable to safely completing my own Nuzlocke run...but more importantly, I respect her even more for this: for continuing the journey regardless of ill fortune or pain or tragedy.

Suramen is one of the best Nuzlockers out there, and makes me damned proud to be one too. =)

I just finished reading your Nuzlocke challenge, and I must say it was well written. In the sense that you made us really feel for all of the characters you presented, yes even Gary...barely. Personally, I don't think I have the stones to play a Nuzlocke Challenge, I'm one of those Fire Emblems players who keeps soft resetting whenever someone dies. My hat's off to you for having crafted this wonderful story. Hopefully, the next one will have fewer losses yet still a wonderful adventure.

Petty's Nuzlocke is God Tier. Not one comes close to it. "Oh Gosh" also has a great one, but for different reasons. His is more like a spiritual successor to the original, with its wonderful irreverence and silly art. Funny I call it the spiritual successor, with the way Nuzlocke Prime updates, Oh Gosh will have finished his run-through by the time the original is done.

@shellblade - Petty's and Oh Gosh's are the best! Oh Gosh has a funny, simply-put comic, with amazing facial expressions. The updates about his team's pasts have really developed their characters. Petty's story and jokes are awesome too, but to me her comic is really about the team's bonding and how it feels to lose and win.

Landwalker's is excellent as well. It has a very unique storyline. You should check it out!
