Haha this was me and my buddies almost 3 years ago. Yes it did suck, and yes it was horrendously dirty. But it was a solo and ensemble piece where the auditorium was filled with nothing but parents. It's not like we were headlining at some massive theater. We rehearsed it maybe three times and this was the second time we had ever performed it. Besides, the band program at Sabin Middle School wasn't something to be proud of. Everything about it sucked.
i think they did good, and alot of ppl think they sucked, but the thing they dont get is that alot of ppl dont have the sack to get up in front of those ppl, and perform. i for one dont think i could get up in front of ppl with just 3 other ppl and perform. good job
As a percussion teacher I can see in these comments where we sometimes get lost as musicians. Is the composition intersting? How is the ensemble playing? We have know idea how long they have been working on this piece or if it is a work in progress. I think they have done a respectable job here. Being a musician is not always about impressing people. Sometimes it is about listening, letting go and enjoying the music.
@jackntheVox whats wrong with that? there just having fun. its probably not to impress ppl. you obviously arent a musician and that is why you cant see the true beauty in music
ok first of all, they do suck. it was an easy piece, and they couldn't even hit the trash cans on rhythm most of the time. all 4 were off. its fine if they just wanna do this for fun, but this was a performance, performances are supposed to be done right. although, from the looks of it, they probably only had 3 people watching this performance. and for your information, i AM a musician, hence my comments.
