@OrthoPanda It is really a hybrid. It has a poppet, but it is not open with the use of a hammer or ram, it operates more like a spoolie.

@kidcudy2 a deadlywind barrel 14 inch carbon fiber with freak inserts. you can change out the insert bore according to the paint size. the carbon barrel is also much quieter than aluminum.

I am in the Military and in May we are doing an exercise that requires paintball guns. I use to play about 6 years ago so im looking for a cheap (400-500) electric gun that i can stomp them with. My friend pointed me to the Empire Axe, The only problem is we are bringing our own fill station and its only co2.. I know your not supposed to run co2 on electric guns.... can i run co2 on the Empire Axe for one week? or will it ruin the gun?

@nzitner14 you can use co2 but if you are shooting fast it will freeze the gun and it is very hard on the o rings so i wouldn't recommend it

@Ailasor sorry but you are wrong. both the mass of the projectile and the mass of the bolt system affect recoil. don't believe me? find a gun, dryfire it, there will be next to no recoil. add paint to the gun and you will experience increased recoil. really its not up for debate. its physics.

@painball658 That is a tuff one. Both very nice guns. I guess that would come down to what you like. Spoolie VS Hybrid Poppet and what feels best in your hands. Can't go wrong with either marker.

@fackyouzall I am not really a guy that shoot stacked tube poppet markers, the way I hold my guns makes then uncomfortable. But the Etek 3 is a very nice gun. I like the fact that the Axe is a quieter and smoother shooting. The Etek 3 LT has the polymer feedneck and trigger frame and the Etek AM is priced quite a bit higher then the Axe. I prefer the feel of the aluminum, though the poly works fine.

i personaly really liked this guns feel, but let me skip to the chase my hopper got stuck in the feedneck and guess was on too tight so i tried to pull it out for an hour or so and i ended up breaking the feedneck off the gun...-_- i am really pissed about this i was using an empire prophency hopper and the feedneck is still stuck to my gun as we speak i have yet to return it and really hope they take it back bc i spended that much $ on it i was wondering if anybody else had the same experience.

@ThaRainpooL I have not seen anything like that. My Prophecy fits in and out of it pretty easy. It's the same neck the Mini uses as well and I have never seen it happen on a Mini either. Maybe you have a unique case.

@pballer2014 I can't say what you should do. If you are more than happy with the Mini then I would stay with it, if you are looking to upgrade, maybe the AXE is for you. I got just over 10 pods thru the AXE on a 68 ci 4500 psi.

@xXPJXx96 Depends on the person using it. But honestly, the AXE for me. I like a smoother shooting gun, quieter and I tend to wrap my thumb over top of the gun and I get it smacked with EGO type stacked tube marker.

@xXPJXx96 the etek 3 wont be as smooth of a shot just because of how quickly the bolt cycles. If you want to know how this gun might perform watch some videos on the AGD Emag or AGD Xmag. This gun is pretty much a jump-off from those markers. In fact, one of the designers of this gun did work with tom kaye in designing those old mags (some say those are the best guns ever made) hope that helps

Might I add they both bought them brand New. I dont have anything against DP infact I almost bought a G3 instead of my mini but glad I didnt.
