it works! the dmg must change to ISO or else the Mac keep claiming source busy.

i want to do this, but i have an external hd with videos on it so if i partion it will i loose them? or can i partion it with them videos still on it?

@amzdj do the partition in windows , partition FAT (the one you will later format Journaled) , You will not loose anything.

@chefedogang. thanks for reply, ill explain my situation so hopefully u can help me. basically i just got an iphone 4 & i have mac g5 tower os x 10.4.11, my iphone 4 wont work on my mac cos it need leopard 10.5, iv downloaded 10.5 & tried to burn it to dual layer dvd but keeps crashing. i just want to run this on my external so i can install it

iv got an 1tb external drive which format is (MS-DOS File System)

so do i still partition it?

search other videos here in youtube perhaps there is a better video for you .

8G should work fine , I made mine with a 8G
