  • I'm just glad i'm not the only one that does this. lol! After your done getting your emotions out, it's like taking a boulder off of your shoulders. I used to do this for hours on end. I feel you Amy!!

  • you have talent as a dancer

  • Cool

  • You're so brave, Amy. This is like letting us look directly into your soul. That's why we love you.Ignore the uneducated and keep us inspiring!

  • @lisowzki *inspired

  • lol wut kind of drugz is dis bitch on

  • I did not know u were so flexible

  • ...Just a human, exploring their emotions in movement of their body. That was honestly beautiful.

  • Looks like you were just frustrated and you were just dancing to get it all out. I don't see what this had to do with being entwined with one another...you also looked like you needed to scream. Just bury your head in a pillow and scream. Ought to fix your problem:)

  • let's not put any label on her she just is..

    love you amy

  • Amy, you dance gorgeously! I'm not too familiar with your geographic location, but based on your movement quality, if you ever find yourself available and near a Gaga class from a Batsheva Dance Company member, I do believe you'll be able to connect to their method if you're in the mood to try something new :)

  • i dont know why im watching this

  • I dont think its eccentric or self-indulgent..i think its weird. :/

  • I envy you, Amy. I can't dance. Not even when I'm alone.

  • I think this lady has been wanting to show us this side of herself for sometime now, i understand the anxiety that she has been feeling leading up to this vidio. It's both a huge step and a massive gamble, to lay oneself bare in this way, for all to see. This will make some of Amy's following feel a little uneasy, i can understand her reluctance, if any, to have gone through with this, though i for one, am glad she did. An emotinal roller coaster as always.

  • this is beautiful ..i love how you let yourself go and feel the music

  • very nice I have done this before and it's a great experience. When I pray or do art, read, write I feel relaxed and when I swim in the morning when no one is around I love how we can find different levels of relaxing.

  • Its amazing seeing you slowly relax and slowly be more at peace as the process goes on. You are so sincere its amazing. I think anyone who says they 'have no inhibition' should do what you do and then think again. You inspire me so much! x

  • im definitely using my brain to get into your body right now ;)

  • I like the way she sings. XD Do a cover.

  • I like your hair <3 Shes very beautiful :D

  • This is freedom

  • I gotta find some songs to do the same when i get home at the end of the day.

Although I'm going to lock the doors. Brave=open windows. Amy Walker brave=film it!

I kind of imagine Michael Jackson doing this to figure out dance moves. Hope that doesn't offend anyone, that's just a thought. Blessings!

  • I guess I'm in love!

  • I admittedly had a similar experience recently, minus the brave enough to film it. There are times where there is just too much going on in the head and you need the body to just take some of the load off. That's how it is for me at least. Always an admirer of your talent. Prospero.

  • This is a free spirit

  • you really know someone after that :)

  • Although some may say that this is eccentric or self-indulgent, I see this as truly beautiful. So I am going to masturbate to this later.

  • But can you do this with no clothes on

  • Amy, can you tell me with song this is, please?

  • Comment removed

  • @AnnikaTanja

The first song being played is Sarah McLachlan "Silence" not "Into The Fire" as i first thought. Sorry ;-)

  • @AnnikaTanja It's Silence ft. Sarah McLachlan by Delerium, the chillout remix. [[=

  • An actor can only go to places in their work that they are free enough to go to in their real life. Now it is perfectly sensible why Amy Walker is so damn talented

  • Amy, you're beautiful inside and out and everyother way in between. This was fun to watch and I'm honored to have seen such a personal expression of dance and therapy. Keep doing what you do and don't let anyone stop you.

  • love your wild hair :)

  • Wow... I ... Wow <3

  • @InsanityAndFlowers I know, right?

  • Quite interesting

  • Amy, I adore you! I wish I could be even half as slender, graceful, beautiful and talented as you are!!!

  • I'm particularly impressed with the kick after 11:00

  • girl, you can DANCE!

  • Truly, is there anything at which you are not magnificent?

  • Your amazing Amy!.

Keep bringing out the vibes! Never be ashamed.

    bm~

  • That was beautiful.

  • Marry me.

  • Amy Walker, you're insane and I love it!! Never be ashamed of who you are!

  • @kristinaspeaks just her flow of movement. As a former dancer I wish I had that flexibility. She makes me want to start dancing again.

  • wonderful tks for posting xo

  • I want one. I really want one! I want an Amy all my own.

  • She filmed this for herself. She uploaded it for anyone who might be interested. If you're not interested - don't watch it and shut up. No need to be offensive.

  • I can get her much more excited than her just dancing by herself

  • I'm gonna watch this again when I'm high.

  • haha amy u so crazy :p

  • nice moves groovedoggie, goodvibes>>>>

  • Oh my, a shame that some people feel the need to make very silly remarks.... Great and fun to see someone showing this in public this way, I do this at home for many years now but wouldn't have the ass to show this on the internet! Brave! Respect!

  • Love thick full hair on a Woman as she dances. Very nice Amy. You are are definetly on my top five list, of people to have coffee with.

  • My "alone" dancing is usually a little more violent than that lol

  • i love you and stuff

but what the hell is this

  • Is this porn?

  • Although some may say that this is eccentric or self-indulgent, I see this as truly beautiful. Unlike so many people, myself included, you, Amy, are not afraid to be the person who you truly are inside. You are unabashedly human, perfectly portraying all of our emotions, thoughts, and passions. Thank you for sharing your art, and thank you for being your true self. You're an inspiration.

    So much love!

  • You kind of look like the girl from the Pixar movie that's coming out in December, Brave.

  • are astonishing!

  • go Amy go! your awesomeness and ability to capture your inner "Elaine"

  • Amy,

I love you and your methods. Screw all them haters and keep doin' what you do girl.

    Lots of love

  • You need to come back this side of the line. You know, the one where you cross from communicator to totally self-indulgent self-obsessive? The small percentage of people who will jettison eleven minutes of their life to watch this might have enough problems to actually think they will benefit from watching someone self-worship. You are taking your other abilities for granted. Best of luck.

  • @kimokaker Well in her description she tells you why she made the video. Mainly for herself. And why does it seem like she is self-worshiping? People do yoga. Very similiar. Just a way to stretch and relax the body. Sorry I just don't get how you came up with your response.

  • @kimokaker How is this self-indulgent and self-obesessive? Part of an artist's life is reflecting on oneself and she is reflecting on her emotions through interpretive dance. No different than somebody choreography a beautiful ballet to relay emotions, this is just her using authentic movements as her choreography and moving as she feels inclined to. She has shared it (which is very personal) with all of us to help us, either to inspire us to try it or else to validate our own methods.

  • @kimokaker If you expect not to find self-indulgence on YouTube, you've come to the wrong website. This video may not seem terribly compelling to most, but it does offer a window into a life that marries the quotidian and the creative in ways that only an artist can understand. You can argue that this is an exercise in egocentricity, but if the intention (and as I can personally attest, the result) is to inspire others to seek artistic outlets in their daily lives, does it merit such an attack?

  • This is one flexible woman by the way.

  • Oh, the joy of getting skinnier after a had day.

Mostly I get fatter - I like eating when sad.

  • i always knew you were insane

  • Is it me or do she look incredibly tiny? Amazing flexibility.

  • @Fofrin She looks incredibly tiny but not proportionately tiny. DAMN! She has a hell of a large torso! WTF?!!!

  • IN nearly every video you make, you come across as a complete and total nut job.

  • @bbcasting RFLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love it! You rock!

  • You're brave! But not to worry, also quite cute...

  • okay literally what the fuck

  • Your one amazing dancer :D ! So fluent and expressive !

  • possesed by demon? :D

  • I think this IS very personal, but helped to validate our own methods of dealing and working out with things. I appreciated you sharing with us a part of yourself and your method of dealing and sorting things out. Please feel free to share more in the future :)

  • to all the people saying it's personal well that's what it is interpretive dance is a very personal form of dance and without the personal touch in it it has no meaning.

  • Do your thing! lovely!

  • @TraxAndrew HAHA! I was thinking the same!

  • And now we have confirmation that you are indeed, as they say in theatrical circles, a triple threat- acting, singing, dancing, the whole schebang! Seriously though, I hope this therapy session helped with whatever was troubling you, something tells me it did. Very intense.

  • You must've been so relaxed when you went to bed that night. Thanks for sharing. Pay no attention to the top rated comments. No one knows you better than you know yourself <3. Take care.

  • Hi! I've just subscribed to your channel after I've watched a few of your videos about accents. I love how many you can do.

I like you, I think you're a very interesting person, but I also think that this dance was a little too personal. Anyway I'm looking forward to more videos about accents.

  • @LadyA128 how was it personal? Was it sexually suggestive?

  • @ElsHouse No, not sexual (at least for me LOL) but this is the kind of thing people do in privacy. I felt a bit embarrassed to be witness to it. I would never show something like that to other people. But you know we are different personalities.

  • @LadyA128 I don't know if you're an actor, but being able to let your emotions take over and steer is a truly admirable quality in this profession. ESPECIALLY being able to share that raw-to-the-core side of yourself with the world is, something not many can do, including me. I have incredible respect for those that can.

  • @hilarylover17 No, I'm not an actor. I agree with everything you said, and I also respect those who can share this side of themselves but especially because of that I felt embarrassed.

  • So this is what you do after a hard day.

  • Spontaneous Movement Meditation.

    Interesting.

  • so....how high are you right now? haha

  • Comment removed

  • Coke is a hell of a drug. Joke = ) The video is a bit too...personal?

  • lol this is what I do when noones watching.. o.o

  • I am surprised I didn't see any cats LOL

  • umm ,, please dont scare me like this again

  • This is like some sort of softcore porn. More please.

  • What is the first song that plays? It is stuck in my head.

  • This is great. Where's the music from?. As an artist I'm battling through my stuck places everyday too. Have you heard of The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron?

  • what did i just watch? lol

  • Obvious freak in bed is obvious

  • weird

  • I try doing ballet when I'm home alone, and that's what I look like ....

  • you listen to cesaria evora? respect

  • this reminds me of summer heights high

  • i would be so embarrassed to show this lol good on you for being 100% yourself :)

  • my Sims always doing the same. XD

  • ^_^ you look like Elaine Benes from Seinfeld

  • Amy walker you're a little bit weird arn't you? It means you will probably go far in the industry :)

  • 2:19 to 2:33 shades of iJ doin' Apple Store dance

  • great, she is more athletic and energetic than me :P. and what are the names of the tracks?

  • I'm.. afraid

  • she looks posessed

  • Saudade = longing for ... in Portuguese.

Do you know THAT quality of 'saudade' ... that deep longing for something you neverf had but still are able to 'idealize' deep inside your soul?

(which by the day make the 'saudade' ever harder to bear ...)

  • My process is to glare at whatever I'm doing until something gives.. Yours is much more creative and hopefully productive. You're turned up to 11 and it offends some of the more delicate sensibilities.. but that's just fine. Do your thing and never let anyone bring you down. Vibes.

  • This is a strip-tease - one of her soul.

  • thank you

  • Meditation..

  • what's the music? I absolutely loved it

  • @MsConnyle Delerium - Silence

  • @MsConnyle : the last song is Cesária Évora with Sodade - a beautiful song indeed!

  • @TraxAndrew amen!

  • Get your playlist sorted out Amy.Weekends with you would be great. With snow outside and the fire on, next to the chimney, letting the mind wander..

  • Very boring, sorry....

  • i do this "thing" sometimes in my room ( cith curtains closed) :)

  • your hair is amazing.

  • You're Beautiful

  • this was profound to my life, i respect you so much. you are within me, i am within you.

you are a true free spirit and a vibrant, beautiful soul.

  • Do you dance regularly or do yoga? Your so flexible and I loved watching this. It's inspirational

  • @infiniteHOPE28 inspirational how?

  • too personal

  • @dtpersonful Nothing is too personal if you're willing to open yourself and share it.

  • @dtpersonful of course it's personal....it's interpretive dance people! very nice.

  • It's very personal, thx for letting us in!

  • What you were feeling must have been pure euphoria. A state of of absolute bliss, in the moment, concentrated. :) I have similar things that I do; but they're based on connecting concepts to music, in a sort of autistic manner. This was beautiful. Thank you for sharing this, dear Amy.
