hmm is there something you have to spray on after your done painting? im new at this and im starting it this weekend because i love the style and the way it looks so do you put on like a glossy coat or something to help the paint dry and finish?

rustoleum will work but colorplace and krylon work better and both generally cost less... color place is great and is by far the cheapest... check at walmart

you don't have to paint on just posterboard... you can paint on literally anything... we prefer foam board ourselves but i've done car hoods, wooden bar stools, aquariums, even the top of my laptop computer!

I still really want to know what the tool is to give definitions in the mountains. It adds white but I don't really know how. Is it a brush applying spray paint? Is it a tool that scratches off the paint leaving the white underneath? I MUST KNOW

it's called a pacasso tool... any art or hobby shop will have a variety of them and it's used to scrape off the top, usually black, layer of paint exposing whatever color or colors is underneath...

@MrNosker2K10NsbkSrsk any cheap spray paint is good like the runny watery mixes liek krylon .or the walmart brand .. its wat i use .some is better on type of effect you do like misting clouds and stars but i just use the black and white from walmart.

paper can be bought at target . walmart or walgreens or even for higher prices super glossy at artstore and kinkos fedex

1. Yes, rustoleum works great for spray paint art.

2. Its just white spray paint. You can either spray it into your hand and then flick it onto the poster or you can lightly press the sprayer and kind of pull it back a bit and it will spray larger drops that look like stars. The last technique works best when the can is almost empty.

3. Any glossy poster will work, I usually just use posters from Walgreens or CVS.

@holymoly46 You use the type of paper with a Matte side, and a Glossy side. If you attempt this, USE THE GLOSSY SIDE to paint on. Matte just absorbs the paint. Gloss doesn't :)

@ImSoCoolItBurns Its because your burning the gloss finish. What it does is dry's the gloss so you can't smear the painting. Its just drying the painting right there so people can buy them, instead of having to wait for awhile for the gloss to dry on its own.

to answer your questions, first te stuff used at the end is a spray acrylic thats clear, it does help to protect the paint over time. second poster board can be purchased from any paper store, or most office stores (i.e. officemax, staples, or where ever you might purchase products for a business or near a college or university.
