320 ponies to the crank minus a 17% parasitic loss through the drivetrain for an automatic means these 4th Gen. LS1 babies put out 265.60 horsepower to the rear wheels. 320 x 17% = 54.40 and 320 crank ponies minus 54.40 equals 265.60 actual horsepower on a stock LS1 with 320 crank horsepower.

I see it on their website, costs $333, been thinking about getting it...I think I want the SLP LM1 system more though, a louder car will be more fun since I am not racing this car...very much.
do some research...its the same ls1 as any corvette- it was underrated from the factory to make the vette look better. camaros stock came with 345hp and this slp package added realistically about 20 on top of that
@Quatermain98526 then tell me whats different about the ls1 in the fbody..nothing is...if you have really seen dyno charts on ls1 f-bodies we wouldnt be arguing lol...ive been in the ls1 scene a while and yet to see a stock M6 car dyno under 300rwhp, usually in the 300-315 range, proving 345 to the crank, A4 is another story cuz theres a lot more power loss
@cdorch411 The LS1 in the Corvette had more aggressive heads, and a slightly more aggressive tune, same engine, with slightly different parts and tuning,that's why the LS1 in the Corvette made 350HP while the LS1 in the Camaro made 325HP.
@Quatermain98526 f-bodies and corvettes both had same engines the tune is the same and the heads are identical(both 241 casting)..if the 305hp and 325hp ratings were accurate then m6 f-bodies wouldnt be putting down over 300rwhp on the dyno everytime

And yes, the 305HP rating for the 98-00 Camaro was underrated, the more accurate reading for those cars should be close to 330HP, and the SS would be a little bit more than that. However, the Corvette will still put more power to the dyno than the Camaro, not much, but just enough to show the Corvette's engine has a few more tweaks.

Yeah it does. But I wasn't the one that installed it. My dad did it both on this car while he was driving it, and on our '96, and he's thinking about doing it to his '98 now so I'm guessing it wasn't so complicating that he wouldn't mind doing it again.
i've had a few comments about it but i never have the ball on so i don't here it much...and that doesn't make too much sense cause i could be doing 150 mph and towing something at the same time, what can they do...haha

2000 Camaro SS came with 320HP stock, there was no 350HP performance package, unless you added modifications yourself.
