That's Francois, who traveled around the world with me and made for good topic of conversation when students would have no clue what they wanted or why they were taking English lessons.
im going to make one i just need some popcicle sticks... anyways, ive been making ideas for switches but im not really sure if they'll work. i like your switches but im not exactly sure how they work
Basically the switch directs the marble one way, while the weight of the marble pushes the switch causing the switch to rotate so the next time the marble is directed another way.
Some of the switches on mine took a long time to design and build, so give yourself time to think about it.. :-)
I do plan to make more and sell them. I want to make some that work near 100% of the time; this one has grown twice as tall as what you see here and works about 80% of the time...
you should make more of those and sell them, you would make lots of money by selling them to handmade craft stores, or those specialty rolling ball sculpture stores
How many popsicles did you eat to make this?

5.15 IS THAT A GATE?
skyswooperXX 3 years ago
I call it a switch, but yes, it's a gate.
Viewed from above, it's shaped like a wide V. Actually more like \/| and the | on the right kicks the next marble off the track.
