These podcasts need more attention. This one for example, deserves at least 630k views, not 186. These are just plain comical. And on a side-note, I know what savory means (in U.S, it is apparently spelled as such) and people who think it is a British term are probably just redneck southerners. Which, unfortunately, is what most every American is depicted as.
I don't know how they do it in Britain, but here in the states, they start playing X-Mas music in stores in the beginning of November. Being an unfortunate worker in a corporate arts and crafts shithole, having to hear that shit being played for almost two months does not get me into the spirit at all! It sucks!
Yeah, it's a bummer, it's the same here. Christmas decorations, christmas trees, all for sale really early, and christmas music pumping up my arse. I can only imagine the trauma of working in a place where they force that upon you
Anyway you are both sort of right. In summary, life is pointless and Christmas is fun, but they should totally have it in September because then the shops would be less busy. The reason you don' have Xmas cake the rest of the year is because it isn't very nice. Brandy butter is awesome though.
If christmas cake isn't very nice, why have it at all? That's what grinds my gears. Either people like it, or they don't like it. If they like it, why don't they keep eating it? If they don't like it, why have it at all?
I can totally see where you're coming from. If an xmas tradition was stabbing yourself in the face, everyone would do it, and if you didn't like it, you'd say, "ok i'll just have a little slice."
I haven't learnt my lesson, I'll do the same tomorrow. Ahhh!
Nice one dudes you always have me cracking up. I think the word tradition should be made illegal and anyone using it as a reason to do something should be forced to eat themself.
