this is quite possibly the hardest indie shit I have ever heard in my entire life. If I knew that I could get away with it, I would probably slay a man for a studio version
well, since the lyrics are all in japanese, the japanese title "nen no tame ni hyaku hachi kai" sounds pretty snappy and smooth; it was a toss up between a snappy shortened english title or a complete literal translation. i went with the literal translation because, hey, why not?
and just because it was the right amount of fruity!
i guess now that you mention it there is a definite earthbound vibe going on.
i was writing a song the other day that was something like an earthbound homage. once i can learn to adequately manipulate SUBTLE guitar tone i can stop writing songs where the vocals always necessarily involve different TYPES of screaming.
however, it's worth noting that this is one of only three of our songs which contain more than one sentence of lyrics.
the only lyric in "oinori" is "i pray that this sleepless night is only a dream", for example. though yeah, maybe i could put one word bubble explaining that. etc.
Definitely the second most rockinggest thing I have heard today.
Your hair looks different. And are you eating enough? I don't want them foreigns starting to think Americans really are thin like the ones they see on TV.
it is just one of the two effects on my electro-harmonix stereo electric mistress! it sounds really good -- there's a chorus effect coming out of there, too!
tollmaster i have to keep reminding people of this though yes, i eat more than enough: i consume 5,000 calories a day (or more) and i also run anywhere from 12 to 16 miles, while also lifting a hell-ton of weights.
my hair looks different because it hadn't been washed in two days, and i just had it pushed up over my forehead with a headband because, you know, can't have my hair getting in my eyes while i stare at the fretboard in the name of rock

Be honest, did you buy that shirt because it reminded you Ness from Earthbound?

i bought it because it was 500 yen!
and just because it was the right amount of fruity!

Man, Earthbound influenced pop-punk-blues-noise rock would be hot as a thousand exploding suns.

PS. The lyrics are fuckin' great. PLZ use silly word bubbles for all your songs in the future.
