  • What a band!

  • One of the greatest albums of all time. This song rocks so frikkin hard.

  • PERFECT!

  • TFF forever!

  • My fav 80's band by a long shot but still don't know what he screams after "made my bed on love denied!"??

  • He Played Jekyll and Hyde till the day he died

  • Thanks, but actually I meant the second time he sings that line, it's "Now I ain't gonna sleep tonight!!!"

  • "I ain't going to sleep tonight, no I won't."

Roland also twists the words around a bit in this version ~

  • Fantastic song.

One of many on a superb album The Seeds Of Love

  • I love this stuff stopped to watch and listen yet again.

  • This is like one of my alltime favorite songs ever!!!!!!

  • Fire the back up singers, they're too weird.

  • I love them- so quirky!! ...they remind me of Roland's own dancing :D :D :P

  • It is really fantastic.. Still searching for a piece when Oleta was attending..

  • The quality of this is fantastic... vocals are mind-blowing!! Go Roland!! :)

  • TFF neue Alben !!!! Konzerte in Deutschland !!!! we want to see u !

  • Einfach klasse :-))))

  • The musicianship of this group Tears For Fears "Year Of The Knife" Live! is great favorite in many inquiries to attract many fans, embrace a great video. Sou Brasileiro live in northern Brazil and really enjoy this group.

    My name, Antonio

  • Roland is absolutely stunning!

  • Hi Birthday Girl (TheSundAndTheRain),

I couldn't reach you today so I guess it will be a happy birthday wish over a very special video. Our Rolie belting his marvelous voice and ripping up his amazing guitar.

I wish you all the best. Hope to talk to you soon. xoxoxo

  • An incredible array of great singers and musicians :)

  • I am laughing at myself. I am watching the video with no sound. I can't make any noise at work right now so just the image will have to do. I can almost hear Roland's voice though.

  • I do prefer to watch Roland if I can but I can always settle on a listen if i can't watch!

  • This is one of those songs you have to listen to/ watch everyday!

  • I agree! I watch this video everyday too!

  • @thesunandtherain yes you're rearly right

  • I so wanted to be there. It is very impressing to know they were stranged and yet managed to throw an amazing concert with a great vibe (at least for the duration of the show).

  • I knew I'd find you here!! This is one of my favorites too! ~

  • I will never leave =)

  • Checking in while working my tail off =)

  • Me encanta Roland el es increible su voz en hermosa pone un sentimiento a sus canciones TE AMO ROLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I hope the the lack of posts, is because all you tubers are at the tff concerts!!!!

  • I am baaaaaaaaaack, baby. It feels so weird that it is over. It was such a magical moment. But to be perfect, you had to be there next to me, Kim, and Suzanne. We had such a good time, screaming to the top of our lungs. I danced too much, which messed up my picture taking and footage. Oh, I think I told Kim got a "I love YOU" back from Roland when she shouted it to him. I melted for her.

  • Thanks sweetie!!! I am happy you had a wonderful time and you even took time to call me during the show. You look great in your picture with Roland too ~

  • I am here... will never go away.

  • Exciting song, one of my favorite TFF. Those singers are annoying though. The camera bounces around too much. It's too bad that Neil Taylor didn't open up with a guitar solo like Robbie Mcintosh did on the record.

  • Looks like they're on acid!!

  • More than 8 minutes this song and not bored for even a second!

    Roland is suberb!

  • I don't mind cleaning so much when Roland is with me!

  • I had no idea the front-man had long hair. I was quite aroused at finding out.

  • Hes gorgeous no? I love those wild curls!

  • @gipsy80907

    OMG yes!!!!

  • I wish I had all the footage they got to put this dvd together and make one just with Roland on the screen. I'd watch over and over and over and...

  • Roland is particularly dynamic here. His voice is magic and his appearance is sexually potent!

  • I made us public about the duster in hand and Roland's voice blasting out of the speakers. Scroll down to understand =)

  • excellent song

  • There's nothing better than this on full blast, duster in your hand, singing , dancing. And at the end my kids sit there, mouths open, thinking their mum's gone completely bonkers!!!!!!! lol good old TFF. What a song!!

  • Hillarious! I also clean to Roland's voice. Nothing better to give you a jolt of energy. My YouTuber friend TheSunAndTheRain does it, too =D

  • there I feel better now I heard this song today yes

  • Amazed at how musically good they are in concert!

  • I'd say, the best I 've ever heard....

  • Yes and even people who dislike TFF have said that they are a good live band!

  • There are'nt many vocalist better than Roland period!

  • I vehemently reject any prospect or expectation of anybody singing this song better than Roland. No, no, no!

  • Klasse !

  • The album "Seeds of love" is the best album I know. I am dreaming of a band covering all this stuff because Roland seemes to be tired.

I am a keyboarder. So we just need 13 or more other people. ;-)

  • I could play the triangle!!!!! There's two of us!!!!! lol

  • And I can play bass and glockenspiel. Actually, sometimes I also dream of forming TFF cover band.

  • Awesome

''Seeds of love'' is simply great

  • Love that voice, love that face, love that hair, love it all... shamelessly.

  • Great song!

One of Tears For Fears' best

  • Breathtaking!!!

  • One of my most favorite songs and videos!!! Love them!! Love Roland's smile at 1:53!

    Love Roland's passion at 5:10!!

Love his screaming voice at 5:27!!!

God, I wish I had been there!

  • Love Roland at 1:00, 1:23, 1:27, 1:33, 1:38, okay, okay... every single time he is on. BTW, the camera should have never got off him :-)

  • The backup singers for Clapton at Knebworth were more attractive and better singers. And as a huge Roland fan I'd rather be looking at him!

  • Check out "Tears For Fears Et Pourquois." It is a 19 sec vid that will put a smile in your face.

  • I can't find it,send me the link.

  • Every musician on that stage is awesome (otherwise they'd not be playing with Orzabal and Smith) but on this song the background vocal ladies downright steal the show. I LOVE seeing people so in the moment, LIVING what they do. Awesome!

  • They sure are great. I just happen to be a Roland junkie :-)

  • Got up this morning feeling funky and guess what? All it took was to watch this little video. See Roland maneuver his guitar, and sing with his heart and soul was all I needed.

  • Glad to hear it did the trick. Their most underrated song, ever. : )

  • Have you got your Roland's daily dose yet? You should :-)

  • WOW ROLAND AMAZING VOICE

  • Let me tell you this I am no young chick with a mindless crush on this man! I don't mind wearing my heart on my sleeve for him!

  • Hey I am a 52 yo straight male. These guys are just in there own ( i don't know what ) I am practicing the guitar for several of there songs as we speak. Love this stuff.

  • Roland Orzabal is a gifted composer and with a beautiful voice. In the beginning everyone thought they were gay but they are both hetrosexual. I hope you don't feel like you are percieved gay because you like them. You've stumbled onto some pages where they are very loved by most posters anyway! I'm glad to hear you do too! and good luck with that guitar..........

  • No I was just saying I am a 52 yo male TFF Fan . They have inspired me with their music. They have some special songs.the world is better for their contribution.

  • Okay, got my fix. Now I can got back to work :-)

  • You are as shamelessly hooked on Roland as I am! I too have to listen and look at him on a daily basis. You can imagine how rich my fantasy life is! hes particularly attractive in this video.

  • What makes you think I am completely besotted with this super sizzling hot and sssuper talented man of my dreams? Because I am NOT, hear me? Nose growing :D

  • the singers voices are bloody awesome. And i love the singers voice he is brill. All in all the worlds best band!

  • That was amazing!

  • This is my very favorite part of the concert. Roland is simply spetacular. Memorable. It should go down history as one of the finest live performances of all times.

  • I watch this video at least twice a day or I cannot keep going. Love love love it! And to watch Roland sing, play, move, breathe... whew! No words!

  • wow amazing song TFF forever......

  • oh my goosh! this song is amazing!

    TFF loveeer! :)

  • Super amazing :-)

  • This great concert footage.Anytime Roland's voice can be showcased is Excellent.I love his looks at this time, wild hair and great lips! And after all this time hes still HOT!

  • brilliant!!!!

  • Brilliant version!!!! What year is this concert please?

  • 1990, I think.

  • The drummer is really carrying this song so well.

  • The drums are what makes this song.

  • It's not hard to imagine why this is one of my favorite albums ever. Just look at the musicians who were on it. Roland, Curt and Oleta Adams of course. Phil Collins, Manu Katche (one of the greatest session drummers ever), Pino Palladino (gets my vote for greatest session bassist ever) and Robbie McIntosh (former lead guitarist for Paul McCartney).

  • This song is a Masterpiece!!!! among many of their songs!!!!!

  • You are quite correct!

  • What a voice, What a man, What a band, What a show, What a video. Thanks for uploading!

    ;}

  • Amazing!!!

  • Rocks......just rocks!

  • Topklasse, Flitsend, Fenominaal!!

  • This is one of the most cathartic songs ever composed by TFF. It is about two conflicting personalities existing within an individual. I prefer the mood and energy of this song as opposed to 'Shout' (which I like by the way but it's slightly overrated).

  • yeah this is good, but badmans song and woman in chains were also great, as was rule the world

  • great!

  • What the fuck were they thinking with those dancers. That policeman's hat. Bleh.

Anyway, this song is awesome, regardless.

  • I'm pretty sure they were thinking "Great vocals, ladies".

  • All I'm saying is the dancing and policemen hats were silly.

    :D

  • fucking LOVE THIS SONG

  • Perfect in every way.Talent can carry you a long way.

  • INTENSE! Too late, too late, much too late!

  • His range is so incredible, his voice so pure. In another life Roland must have been a magician because he can pull anything out of his hat. And to top it off, he looks sooooo good.

  • No pop singer today has a voice that versatile.

  • EPIC SONG YEAH

  • this would be an excellent song to open with

  • More like an encore song I think. Which I also think it was on the STSOF tour in 1990. But yes - it's excellent.

  • NEW WAVE

  • totally cool guys! thanks!!!

  • I can't tell....."Is it Live or is it Memorex"? It's LIVE! and it's got to be one of the best live performances of any song I've ever heard! True to the original recording in every note....I've always loved this song and want to thank you for posting this video...I hope TFF doesn't pull it. I'd like a copy on my harddrive!
