Electrics are being backed to the hilt in Europe and the far East, which is great for us, 'cos the Americans will be buying our cars.
It would be better for all consumers if there was serious competition from the US, but if this is a typical American reaction to new tech, you're going to run into a brick wall.
Tesla is a great car, but you need serious money to make EVs in volume
Tesla did get the DOE loan. They will be building the Model S. Then the Bue Star will be next. Once the Model S becomes a another big success for Tesla, they will be able to get more loans.
Remember this is fox news. The lowest brow of journalism, if you can even call it that. The retard on the far right doesn't know anything about business. The dude in the middle didn't even understand that when new tech is introduced, you have to start high. Again, fox news is not real news.
Sounds great Ratryu... I'm a big fan of competition, so we should have some great vehicles come out of this.
Being Welsh, I am not so familiar with Fox news... but having now seen a few clips, I'm a bit surprised to find out that it's real, and not some witty satire on bad journalism!
LMAO. I've never thought that this could appear as a SNL skit about a terrible news station. I agree, if this was a skit, it would be the best skit about terrible journalism. Sadly, this is fox's attempt at trying to be a real news station.
Kudos to Diarmuid O'Connell for making some great points and offering his perspective. That Cody character was a waste - he should try making a point that makes some sense instead of bringing up cancer and children.
$120,000 may seem like a lot, but in comparison to high-end sports cars it's priced relatively competitive.
The more Tesla vehicles that sell, the stronger the company will become, and the sooner they will be able to provide affordable vehicles for the average American worker.
O'Connell rocks=100%perfect sense
skater looking guy talking about children cancer=30 IQ* weed

Diarmuid O'Connell is spinning as fast as he can to belly up at the taxpayer's money trough.
The flood gates are open and Big Business is gorging themselves on taxpayer suffering.
Where does the Constitution allow gov't to give taxpayer money to their for profit cronie corporations?
Pay-to-play politics. It's NOT what you know or what you do, it's ONLY who you know and who you buy with campaign contributions that REALLY counts.
I guess that's "progress".

It's hard not to feel sympathy for Tesla.

In reality, Tesla is preventing cancer cases by offering a pollution free car in lieu of a highly polluting Porsche or Corvette.

Oh my god Fox news their borrowing the money, witch means there going to pay it back. Damn stop attacking the hell out of the guy.

That money wouldn't cure children's cancer, it would just about fund the admin for the project.
Cancer Research UK spends 80% of its income on admin and the remaining 20% is divided between advertising, equipment and research scientists.
