Is it just me.. or is 'nicely nicely' also the guy who plays sebastian the crab in little mermaid:broadway? The second i heard him wailing i took a closer look and i think it is lol
Oh yes, she may have. And I'm not one to judge either, it is just an opinion. I didn't even get around to seeing it, so she might've been amazing. I was just saying that it didn't look like she had that great of a performance. but I don't know, I didn't see it. No intentions of offending anyone ;)
I went to see it at the netherlander in April last year and thought it was good. No offense taken, I was just expressing my opinion. Maybe the day I went was a one-time-thing, maybe it was watching my first broadway show, but everything looked "in place" that time.
From the minute the lights came up on the stage, I knew that this musical was going to be special. The music, the ever changing sets, the characters, the laughs, everything about this musical was simply genuine. Oliver Platt brought out many laughs and applause through his great interpretation of a Crap Game Chairman with a sentimental value towards love. Lauren Graham brought out the best in Miss Adelaide showing that even a showgirl dancer at a club can have heart and a good sense of value
Craig Bierko was stunning, charming, and marvelous as he brought out the fierce determination for integrity from a New York City gambler. The role of Miss Sarah was played by Kate Jennings Grant, who's dazzling musical talent took my breath away. The cast clicked so well together, the chemistry was tangible. You could see the obvious smile of happiness, not acting, on Kate Jennings Grants face at the end of 'Marry the Man Today'. Overall, Guys and dolls is an unforgettable experience
I luuuuuv as in LOOOOOOVE Craig Bierko. I saw him as Harold Hill in "The Music Man" multiple times when they revived the show on Broadway in 2000. I was instantly smitten during previews and got his autograph and a photo with him at the stage door way before the crowds thronged to him post-opening night. He's immensely talented and a total charmer. Craig = Love :)
Does anyone know how long Lauren Graham's contract is with the show? When does her contract end-I want to see her in it...and want to know until when she will be in the show-does anyone know? please help me!
Lauren doesn´t have a break during a week. She plays all the shows unless she´s ill. Last month she missed a few shows though on behalf of shooting her new pilot in LA. but these changes are usually announced in advance.
i heard she was cpntracted till september because she has a new tv comedy coming out in september so she needs to be here to film that show but maybe the premiere date got pushed back or something
i've seen in in the easter holidays and it was AMAZING! i loved it and not just because lauren was in it! it's worth every dollar! really! go and watch it!
Anybody know if a CD or DVD of the show is coming out? I doubt I'll ever get to New York, but I love the show and the music in this video is pretty amazing.
I'm in New York right now and saw this a couple of days ago. I got a Miss Adelaide shirt with a pin-up girl sitting on red dice...anyway that has nothing to do with anything lol
The critics say that its "horrible" and its not worth anything but i paid well over 300 dollars for the seats i got my sister my mom and i and it was worth every darn penny!
Do not trust the critics!!!! they (almost all) say it isnt worth seeing... i say one of the best bets (no pun intended) on broadway. i didn't see LG but her understudy was amazing
Saw the show the other day - critics trashed it - don't know why -it was great. Standing "O" for LG-didn't know she had such a great voice. The whole cast was amazing. Titus and Mary Testa shook the house in Sit Down
I LOVE this musical! I wish i could go, just to see Lauren Graham as Adelaide! When i saw that she was in this musical, I thought she was gonna play Sarah (she would be great as either female lead) but as Adelaide, I can only IMAGINE how good she's going to be!!!! Knock 'em dead, Lauren!
I saw this show last week and it was ah-mazing!!! Probably my favorite show along with The Little Mermaid. I definitely recommend it if you love Guys and Dolls!
