I have a good 720P projector that accepts a 1080P Max Res.. is it wise to run it at 1080P? I know it will be cropped but, by how much? and will the screen size need to be resized and is the picture quality that much better? (I also have a 10000$ 1080P projector...so I know what good 1080P looks like)
@sawink it would not hurt it even the slightest. the scrren size will not change unless you enter a 4:3 ratio. The quality?? no, it will just display the 1080 content in 720. So, like the desktop items will appear smaller from 720 to 1080... If you would like to see what Im talking about, just do it to the monitor you are using now reading this.
@sawink Thank you for the respone. I thought so. You resonded like agood human being.(rare on here). 1080P in 720P is not badon a 720P projector. Is the IN83 Infocus, the only reasonably priced projector with darkchip4 and do u think DC4 is better technogy? Thanx
@sawink I have not yet come across that new stuff yet, not much of a reader of thing I dont care to have anymore. I sold the projector in 08 I think and am glad to have 100% quality from my games on my 24". it wasnt worth having the high end graphics cards with the projector in the video, because of loss in screen quality
@steven198807 Okay, my room is 12ft x 8ft 5in...I had the projector lens at 10.5 ft from the wall/screen... This projector has an adjustable lens to widen or shrink as well as focus in or out for the change in size...The screen size was 8ft 3in x like 5ft to come out to 115inch
I would think you projector also has a lens that turns to widen and shrink
thanks man, yeah i got a focus feature and a reduce noise feature aswell(alldo when sound is on you cant really hear the projector) min is a pJ551d from viewsonic extremly clear picture.
ill have to see if i can move mine into a different room.
i got 72'' with infocus projector and i find it easier to to play cod especially nazi zombies cause you see em coming lol upgrading to 110'' maybe 120''
cool yah, it did take a few days to get used to it being so big.. You have to kinda go cross-eyed to take it all in... Dont use it for everything though, I used 2500hrs in 1 year and sold it at 2764hrs. You will loose the cool large feeling if you use for everything, I used it as my computer monitor, so, gaming, movies, surfing the web, and it just wares off on you.. When I went back to my old 24", I did much better in gaming, because of the perfect quality and smaller concentration area...
flat screen "." projecter is best for size and movies.. Flat screen will show better detail and light quality...I find it easier to play COD4 on my monitor than my projector at 115"
It was at 2764hrs and I knew it would go out sometime soon and that I didnt want to pay $400 for a new bulb....also because the "wow" affect had worn off completly and that I had a gaming PC for quality and that I lost a lot of quality going from my 1920x1200 23" monitor...So I was wanting back the perfection that comes with said monitor, haha
But Great Projector and quality. my mrs said i can have one after the wedding in september. any tips on what to go for? all i want to do is hook up my PS3. watch blue ray on it and play COD. i have surround sound.
this is amazing and cool!!! could you tell me where you got the Projector from (website/store) and i didn't know if you have a screen for that..but if you do link for that to please...o btw is that in your room or in like your garage or basement?
B4 the upload he speed up the video during editing which does the same to the audio. He's not talking fast bc the music and the game is faster also. Prob the original was over 10mins long. Or his camera is broken.
Question. So a projector with a 16:9 aspect ratio can play a video game without any problems? Also, what would you recommend for a projection screen between 115-135"?
1st A: It will display in 16:9 2nd A: If ur going HD projector, it's ok no matter which size screen. But if Ur going SD projector then the smaller the better.
You room setup is decent but the absolutely shitty quality of video and audio from whatever bargain basement camera you used to shoot this video severely detracts from what your setup looks like. Take a course on cinematography.
720P but u can force 1080i. looks better in 1080i than 720p, I watch Blu-ray on this projector and the only differance between a real monitor and this is that the little squares are a little bigger. The bigger u go with projector, the more stretched out the squares get. but you still have to get up close to even see the squares. It is just short of perfect. perfect being a 72" 1080p $5,000.00 plasma screen.
wow yer having a projector is soo cool, but i just really couldnt pay that maney for bulbs cause i use my TV soooooo much, for gaming PC and movies... and 500hours sounds really really bad.. i hqeard some only do 300 hrs...
quickmantan There called lamps. But mine last for 3000 hrs on econo mode and cost $160. All projectors are diff but U have to find out about lamp life. So not to worry. But I don't watch mine every day it's so big and bright to sit in front of every day. first few weeks maybe but after that the thrill to do it is knda over, everyday all day. @ times I go 6hrs in a day *MOVIES*, then times 2 three times a week. But it's a great investment! Get it get it! Oh BTW COD4SNIPER2 great room Enjoy!
none of them do 300 hours they do 3000 hours & they are well worth it honestly & he's done 500 hours out of the 3000 hour bulb life so really 3000 hours is like 8 hrs a day everyday for a year
Nice man cave

720p projector for 300$ seriously. It's native res is 720p but it can downscale 1080p without much loss.
