I have a few of the elf palettes, I like them. I do agree that the shimmery shades have more pigment than the mattes. Lovely look!

I have every elf beauty book and the 100 palette. The mattes are uch! But I luv the Glitter Eye Edition beauty book. Great color payoff. Thanks Ladwina...I wanted to see if I needed to get that palette too.

I know what you mean by the mattes in ELF palettes. I just picked up the beauty school 32 piece (it's now the warm palette) and the "natural" beauty book from Big Lots. They're both from late 2010 to mid 2011. Anyway, I really like the shimmery ones...the bronzes & golds are gorgeous, but the matte shadows for blending are weak and chalky & powdery. I have to get out my fave mattes (from WnW, Maybelline singles, my Naked palette or--my old love and standby--HIP duos.) for blending.
