Only in those genres musician play with there hart!

  • I wish that for at least a week I could experience the 40's. Im only 15 but for some reason I love the music of the times and agree with the restraint of the era, not little children watching adults whoring themselves out on T.V.

  • I grew up with this music. I learned to dance to it by watching my oldest sister dance, hanging on to the door post.

  • When men were men. You would be sharply dressed with a woman in your arm and a glass of scotch in your other. Its a real shame to see what we've come to today...

  • The Count was definitely a cool guy. Love to hear his arrangements. Thanks for posting.

  • sucks the war was around :(

  • Yep, It's final.....we need to create a time machine.

  • THIS! Is music!

  • This is Super oh man Great Music,Thanks a Million.

  • His home back when was in Red Bank NJ, converted back in the 70's into apartments...

Yeah Baby, got me some in the addict from the YUM YUM Pie...

  • Why can't it still be like this? Men were so classy !

  • the good old days when marijuana was not illegal and jazz was on the radio

  • @N73B60 And they prescribed cigarettes for asthma, polio was still incurable....good times :p Love the music, love the style, hate the conditions.

  • @N73B60 yes

  • sure you are 16! lol

  • when i was younger my dad and i would listen to big band music while we worked together, my dad was born in 1924 and to hear the stories of his life just made me fee like i lived it, to this day i will never forget them, love this music!!

  • AriZonaDrinker I feel the same way you do,the music, clothes, and the dance numbers is so amazing

  • Does anyone know the title of this tune?

  • Beat me daddy, eight to the bar! Like a watch that smiles!

  • Beat me daddy, eight to the bar!

  • I'd love to live in the USA between 1930 and 1960...

  • Fuck Modern music...

  • for all you youngin's ..get into swing dancing..Lindy and Balboa nd you'll hear plenty of this style music

  • la rola esta copada boludo; me entendés.

  • This makes you just wanna get up and dance no matter where you are, but music isnt made like that anymore. I really love the 30-50's era of music, and the style of peoples hair down to their feet is amazingly beautiful.

  • Wow. I am a geek, and it just makes you wonder. I love jazz.I wish that I could have been around to see and hear this. Music is what defines the world. This is what music really is.

  • Does anyone know the title of this song?

  • @Otacon144 Big Bank Boogie

  • I prefer the big bands and jazz instead of this modern rap. This is real music!!!!

  • @pandalover07 i couldn't agree with you more!

  • @pandalover07 well imagine somebody rapping over a slowed down version of this!

  • Greetings everyone,

How I love the 40s and the eternal beauty that has existed in that time. It shall never be forgotten. I love singing the way the women sang in that time (classic) and if your heart wishes you can visit my channel to hear me sing Marilyn Monroe songs and loads more. Thank You dear, Sandra xox

  • now this is great music,. and talent.

  • wish I could play the piano like that...

  • this was a good time to live. the music was great the style in general was boss.

  • Great music, 20 years before I was born. wish I had been around to enjoy it

  • i feel sorry for the one person who pressed the dislike button.

how could you not love this music?

makes me tingle all over listening to it.. i with i could have lived in that time.. it would have been amazing.

  • I know some think that if they only lived back in this era they would be happy but consider this. As great as these musicians were they were not allowed to stay in white hotels, eat in white owned restaurants and many times were not invited to play in white clubs and many town halls and auditoriums. GUESS WHY!!!!

  • @TroyBilt007

I have wracked my brain since Sunday night but I can't come up with a reason. I even Googled it but still no luck. Could you give me a hint? Wait ... I haven't tried "US History" yet. I'll get back to you later if I have an answer. Thanks.

  • Just can't get enough of this!

  • 40's women are beutiful, 40's music are beutiful, even if you join the army women will respect you...... i wish was back in time in the 40s D:

  • Nice.Thanks.

  • fantastic ,fantastic,fantastic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Excellent

A great time in music history

when it was actually produced and

    not synthesized.

I hope it comes back around again

  • Can you imagine some people today would rather watch Jay-Z get on stage mumbling and grunting and swaggering back in forth across the stage holding his balls than to listen to this.

  • The 40's had the best jazz ever! To be able to transport in time for one day at this club hearing this would be absolutely CRAZY!!!! Did you notice Basie' quote of "Salt Peanuts"? Classic!

  • Basie always had the best drummers-- Jo Jones.

  • Solid, Jackson!

  • My dad got to meet him on a plane in Australia in the late 70s. What a gentleman, one unbelievable damn piano player, & led the band that swang like no other...

  • i started lovin this music since i started 2 play fallout3

  • @jokubolakis6

haha, that's precisely why i'm here!

  • i love 40s wish I lived then

  • I'm 18 but I always sort of enjoyed the older music. It just had more class to me. It wans't all about loud ear popping screaming or profanity, it was about just having a great voice and a nice song to go along with it. Stuff like Frank Sinatra and this is much better than today's stuff I think.

  • haha that drummer looks pretty creepy, but man its cool

  • NICE BOOGIE I WAS IN NYC when the GUY DIED in 1984 !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Basies got the joint jumpin! Im proud I got to dance to his band back in the day!

  • Fantastic stuff! A friend that has heard Count Basie live said that if you were any place near the band when they wound up it'd all but blow you off your feet!

  • Love this tune.. Count is one of my greatest inspirations.. If you like him as much as I do you'll probably dig my music too.. Check it out if you like. If anything just enjoy my BACKFLIP off a piano. just search COLIN BACKFLIP I won't disappoint COLIN BACKFLIP

  • I was there, and still boogieing it was the best and true music, not a lot of amps. the drummer is Jo Jones. People dressed up, not down. Americans were patrotic, different and better country.

  • me nad a friend are gonna do a swing performance to this :P

  • you gotta love the look on the drummer's face. :)

  • He's a robot.

  • @AriZonaDrinker I concur!

  • @AriZonaDrinker Are you aware there was a world war going on at that time?

  • @AriZonaDrinker ... guess you aint a black person then ey...

  • @AriZonaDrinker yea then you can hitchhike without haven to worry about getting rapped and everyone seemed soo happpy
