How long have you been playing? I've been learning off of the internet for about a year now. Now I want to learn how to read sheet music so I can learn this song!
The SLG100s is steel strung with no body whereas this is a nylon strung with a full classical style body. Apart from both being guitars there is no similarity! ;^) There is a nylon version of the SLG (SLG100N) but the Takamine blows it away. I'd still like a SLG100N though for late night playing.. 8^)
Well I just stumbled across this account while looking through Kenrgs subscription list. I am VERY upset that you did not tell me you had another account here. I thought we were friends and I supported you from the start. VERY HURT.
Having said that, happy to see you again, and this piece of music is truly exquisite, not that you deserve my support but I can't help being drawn to beautiful things, even if they don't appreciate my presence.
Honestly Will, I could listen to your music all day. The harmonies under the melody line are exquisite. It's minimal like a Satie piece, yet much more hopeful and ornamented. It moves in unexpected directions to keep us wondering and concludes through some very interesting, complex, and melencholic chordal structures. Just beautiful! ~Jon
Ahhh... Satie. Now there you have one of my most favourite composers. It's such a pity his works don't transcribe too well for guitar although I used to play Gymnopodie No. 1 using a weird tuning. Thanks for a great comment Jon.
I got through the first third of that piece before I gave up... I only listen to him when I can afford the time to feel deeply. It's not easy being a casual listener to his works; they are so powerful.
very very nice, i am considering buying that takamine, it sounds fantastic

Thanks Kay. There is a script or something that stupid haters use to rate peoples videos down. Why they have picked on me I have no idea!

Yeah I remember struggling with it too. I'd thought it would be easy. A great composer and an unusual man.

Stereo version?
periurban 3 years ago
Tried it and the reverb was pretty bad and over compressed and sounded awful.
lemintrepid 3 years ago
Peri - I'm a little late, but in case you don't know, you can still hear it in stereo by adding &fmt=18 to the end of the URL. Sounds wonderful!

Yeah, I have that wee trick up my sleeve. I was just wondering if Lem was going to add the link.

Is it just me, or is that your most harmonically complex and evolving piece to date?

Umm... Well it does jump about a bit yeah. ;^)
