  • I love your videos. I also love my Bushmaster M4, never had any trouble with it. I also keep mine pretty simple, just have a vertical grip on it, along with a sling & that's it.

  • I like the ruger mini 14 because it does what it made to do, fire semi auto. Ar 15 is cool looking but you pay alot more for a gun that cant do what it was meant to do, rock and roll full auto!

  • Im always wondering, is this correct?

Original M16 - Full auto select

    M16A1 - 3 round burst

    M16A2 - 3 round burst

    M16A3 - essentially M16A2 Full auto

    M16A4 - 3 ROUND burst

  • Great Guy, Great Video, i hope he'll be fit his whole life, i have a great grandpa, but i would love to have him too =) Greetings from Germany!

  • Great video. Love how you give the service arms a fair review from a civilian perspective. Personally I never liked my M4 for the "range". I much prefer my A2. Thanks for posting.

  • I just bought one of these Hickok, my first AR. Its the Bushmaster XM-15 E2S ORC(optics ready carbine) so I bought some Magpul MBUS flip up sights. Class act sir

  • @DonnyDeezNuts86 good luck with it

  • Comment removed

  • You mention how reliable the magazines are for those rifles. When I was in the Marine Corps there was one manufacturer that when we found em we just threw em out. I think it was Okay indust. mags or something like that. Haven't had any problems since though

  • Love the videos! But take it easy on your magazines...

  • ahh the days where stuff actually grew on the range. ;D

  • In Terminator 1 Arnold fires a 12 gauge one hande, and reloads it one handed, thats impressive!! ;) nice vid ,)

  • I agree with your opinion on the carry handle haha iron sights are FAR better... not to mention more reliable

  • Ill admit... im an M4 addict haha Im currently building a DPMS/ADS carbine for home defence

  • can you shoot 5.56 out of these bushmaster m4's?

  • @MrGlock55 yes

  • @MrGlock55 if your youtube name is Mr.Glock, you should know that all Bushmasters, Armalites, DPMS, and Colt AR-15s shoot 5.56 NATOs

  • @513Scotchpagan hey, im new to rifles so dont gotta be a smart ass man

  • @513Scotchpagan Your average You tube smart ass...

  • @MrGlock55 If the receiver is labeled for 5.56 then yes. However, a good rule of thumb is if it says it can shoot .223 then that's what you should run through it and only that. If it says 5.56 then you can safely shoot 5.56 and .223 through it. The rounds are nearly identical but there are some diferences.

  • I really enjoyed this video sir. My friend just bought this model and he's pretty excited to take it out the range!!

  • @monkeymasher1 I kinda like the M4 style better than the AK, but I can't argue with how fun an AK47 is to shoot lol.

  • wow, the compound looked a lot different back then!

  • i would like to get a colt 6933 too bad no 11.5 barrel in WA

  • I was never a fan if the AR15/M4 platform of weapons. I was also never a fan of the .223/5.56. I have nothing against the video, which I think is awesome, but I have always drooled over the AK platform much more so. The bigger rounds too.

  • A-1 upper and an M4 bbl and butstock....cool.

  • Is $890 a good price for this rifle?????

  • @iShootAmmo hell yes go buy tht shit

  • hickok45 please respond!

  • Hickok45 is da bomb! thumbs if you agree

  • Hickok45, did you serve in the military? I'm just curious because you have so much knowledge in guns and I find that to be awesome!

  • @iLoveGunsNAmmo whatch his faq's

  • Man, how tempting is it to just go Rambo on it and spray bullets everywhere

  • @dbzrulesok ur point?

  • this is a BUSHMASTER M4A1, not an COLT M4A1

  • @VictorSchlickmann Almost died of laughter seeing this.

  • what does the forward assist on the bolt do? Something for clearing a jam?

  • @spenceriguess Sometimes when you charge a round, the bolt doesn't go ALL the way forward and the round isn't seated properly. Whenever this happens it's usually 98% of the way there, but needs a last little push. Most, or some, AR-15s don't need a forward assist as there is a carved out area on the outside of the bolt that you can actually push forward manually IF the dust cover is open. But it's always nice to have! Hope that helps. Good shooting friend!

  • Great video hickock45, very informative. Your videos are appreciated! Keep em' comin!

  • Hickok45 - Please get your camera operator a spotting scope stand for the camera. It should fit, you probably have three of them so its a cheap option =), and will smooth out the video in the zooms.

  • @azlobo73 , We have them but don't want to use them.

  • @hickok45 Try shooting steel case ammo , try tapco mags , try small amount of lube it just wont work . I will trade you my two Bushmaster M4 XM15 E2S for 1 Ak 47

  • @pcwelby, I guess, but I never use steel case ammo in anything except a Mosin or AK. With all the quality magazines around, I've never tried Tapco magazines in an AR. The guns seem to work pretty well for me.

  • @hickok45 work and reliable in battle are different things , how can anyone choose a Bushmaster M4, model XM-15 E2S for life or death situation , steel cases wont even shoot out of my 2 Bushmaster M4, model XM-15 E2S mags that came with the two guns I got , when I got my 1st AK 47 Saiga I saw the light , after 4,000

rounds of any type of ammo , no lube , light cleaning never a problem

I am not sure but I don't believe the gun Bushmaster M4, model XM-15 E2S

    is mill spec

  • @hickok45 But after watching you I got my first Glock .40 And I love it works great but my 2 Bushmaster M4, model XM-15 E2S never again

  • @hickok45 Why do you not shoot steel cased ammo? Can it do damage to the modern polymer wonder pistols?

  • I really like your vids, and admire how you operate your guns. Really beatiful and important models I have to say. But, unfortunately, I don't agree about the US military saving the world and protecting freedom. Of course terrorism is bad, oppression is bad (and we Poles know something about it, belive me). But going around with guns blazing and shooting people isn't always the right thing to do -the spiral of hate- you know what I mean. No offence and keep up the good work sir.

  • how old are you

  • Having been in the military I shot the M4 and recently I shot a Bushmaster like this one. I honestly couldn't tell any difference between the 5.56 and .223 ammo or the rifles themselves aside from the selector switch and barrel shroud.. I'd love to own one of these rifles.

  • i like it, but its much better with the 6.8x45 or .300 whisper honestly

  • this guy has got to be the coolest. .the way he talks about our troops and his sincere no props persona. and a hell of a good shot. hickock45 is the man.

  • I want 1 lol

  • how the hell can you afford all of those guns!?!? :O

  • @PhilipBS2000 I saw them today at Walmart for under $700

  • you said they sold a million of em in the last six months . not in calif they didn.t trust me miss feinstien and pelosi wouldnt here of of it. nor miss boxer. hickock45

  • damn hickock 45 you must have the biggest gun safe ive ever seen. with all the guns ive seen you demonstrate . you must be rich. and powerful. kudos to you my freind. kudos to you.

  • Man that's a funny looking kitchen.

  • What do you prefer? Ak models or M16 type rifles?

  • @specops97alpha He has a video called AK47 VS AR15.

  • Is that a rare model? im asking because it has the old school "carrying" handle A1 style. I google it , Bushmaster XM15 E2S and most of them have fixed handle but A2 style with the ajustable sight seperated.

Can someone solve this for me?

  • I'm sold....buying one soon.

  • wow!how your range has changed!

  • @bobsolla He has two ranges.

  • cool rifle!

  • I went out and bought the very same rifle after watching this video 10 or 15 times

  • Great video. I been shooting the M16 platform rifles for 30+ years and for one me they have been bulletproof. GI mags are rebuidable. take abuse and last forever. BTW, it's been a while since I've seen a ranger pull made of 550 cord attached to one. American GI ingenuity. Reminds me of days gone by. Keep up the excellent reviews.

  • Boooo DI! Gas Piston all the way!

  • My favorite gun, thank you for the video hickok !

  • if a well regulated militia is so vital to a free state, i believe people like hickok45 are the only people who should have the right to bear arms. responsible, law abiding, experienced and safe shooters only in this country. its really more of a privilege then a right, i believe.

  • nice one sir!!!

  • can the A2 frontsight be taken of a m4/m4a1? :D

  • Would you recommend this rifle? Made by bushmaster an everything? I want a AR that I can keep for ever pretty much (I'm an occasional shooter) and can I replace the forend grip with a quad rail?

  • Well, I've just discovered hickok45's videos. From what I've seen so far this guy is pretty cool; rational and respectful; basically what I aspire to be.

  • @Danigolucky, Thanks. Glad you found me, but where the heck have you been! :-)

  • @hickok45 Actually, I left the US about 2 years ago. I live in Germany now. I discovered that you can't tour any of the German arms manufacturers without, basically, a special VIP pass. I didn't really look into it further; but I thought it would have be nice to bring home some HK T-shirts or something...

  • @Danigolucky hickock for president

  • Barrel on my Bushmaster AR-15 M4 is 14.5" but with a welded on 2" suppressor to make it legal length.

  • Thanks for the video hickok.

  • can you also make a video with a Anzio Mag-Fed 20mm Rifle????

  • can you do a video with a Revolver 600 Nitro Express????

  • Can you get the thunder .50 bmg handgun & make a video of it please...

  • @dasjr67 are you retard?

  • hey Lapinmiez are you retarded? haha what kinda ? is that!? if you have sutn to say then say it dont go talkn like a fool! act like u have a brain and say something that makes u seem like ur educated!

  • Thanks for posting this Hickok! I am just a novice when it comes to AR's and this was very informative and thorough. I search your videos first when researching firearms.

  • am i the only one that gets really warm and fuzzy when i see the bolt cycle? :L

  • maybe a silly question..but in battle do the soilders wear hearing protection.???

  • @pentogram23 No they dont..

  • @pentogram23 No. That's been true for pretty much all of warfare history. I recall hearing somewhere that in the Civil War when the first Ironclads were built soldiers stationed on them complained of almost if not complete deafness.

  • @pentogram23 Up until very recently no, but now we are seeing active digital hearing protection more and more, muffs that detect a sound that is loud enough to damage hearing, and then they dampen it to make it quieter. But for most soldiers? No, because it is more important to hear around you and potentially save your life because you heard something, than be dead with good ears.

  • @jettrink60 I agree I have a sport model Ar-15 by COLT....

  • My advice to anyone wanting to buy a gun like this; make sure the bore and chamber are CHROME lined. BTW, the former Soviet nation Georgia uses Bushmasters M-4s as their military arm. I think it's more Georgians expressing their independence than outperforming AK74s.

  • defend freedom, more like defend oil.

  • Before Bin Ladens death, he created 14 youtube accounts just to dislike this video...and then the Navy SEALS got him.

  • hickok. u mention the caliber as 223 but it is 5.56 nato which from what i understand has a little more pressure than 223.

  • @RyanSealmaster Yes, but he is using .223.

  • @Paragon9000 I said NY, not that growth that is NYC. NYC is so blatantly violating the constitution it is unbelievable.

  • can u be my grandpa?

  • Do you know where i can get an M4?

  • @eddthespartan Any gun shop. If they don't have several, I'd be surprised.

  • @eddthespartan Even in NY I just walked into my gun shop and bought that exact model. They are all over.

  • Do you also own a SIG 550? I'd like to know what you think of it in comparison to AR-type rifles. I own one and carried it around in the swiss army. I really like shooting it, the only drawback is its weight. i think it's pretty heavy for a 5.56 NATO rifle. By the way your videos are great, i really enjoy watching them.

  • EXCELLENT VIDEO Hickok 45, I was a Sharp Shooter in the Marines, but you are a much better shot.

  • wow.. i dont shoot guns or anything much but that is some damn good shooting ur pretty talented

  • With a muzzle brake, they are super-duper loud, earplugs alone are not enough if someone is firing one with a muzzle brake on the range.

  • 13 people have inanimate targets that fight back

  • He's pretty cool. Didn't he recently pass away?

  • @spookypunky no, he didn't- BOY_ WHERE YOU GET YO INFORMATION?

  • @mikethenascarfan

I saw an (older) interview with him on the History Channel a few weeks back. I figured since they were using older footage, that was why.. Maybe it was the particular "story" they were re-inacting from the late '60s.

  • Hickok, have you seen any videos with people who "bumpfire"? It seems to be a new reckless phase on youtube, any takes on that?

  • this guy is awesome

  • @WMDnow

20in barrel max efective range is 550m on a point target and 600 area target

14.5 barrel max efective range is 500m on a point target and 550 area target

the 16inch barrel falls under the 20in specs.

  • what a bad ass motherfucker

  • is this the m4 carbine??

  • @sangrentocousin It's a Bushmaster M4 XM15 E2S

  • Here's the Million dollar question, Hickok45..What is your #1 Favorite gun?

  • you know what hickok45, you are ... i dont wanna say it, but anyway, show me how you fire m4 red dot sight ! show me !! ok, fuck it !

  • Tennessee, patron state of shooting shit.

  • @Skribduex And the best damn state there is..

  • @hickok45 please. please get your own tv show :)

  • 11 liberals disliked this video!

  • defending freedom in vietnam? what freedom?

  • @emasterpiece15 US POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC INTERESTS = FREEDOOM for many americans, but dont blame on them, thats the way they were educated

  • @curseofa5r5a tenes razon

  • @emasterpiece15

  • @curseofa5r5a right you are...i have recently broken out of that bullshit idea thanks to the internet

  • Should I go with a m4 style or a 20" full length? someone answer

  • @iLoveMyGun89 I'd go with a 16" its waaay more common

  • @iLoveMyGun89 depends on use, 20 inch barrel gives you longer range

  • ive got a cal.410 of this which is a shotgun

    called safir t14

  • hickok45 do you own a .22lr conversion kit for an ar-15? and if you know about it, do you think it would be a good investment?

  • @themanwich212 I'm pretty sure I've heard him say that he didn't like caliber conversion kits because they can mess with your muscle memory but .22 lr ammo is so cheap it would be hard for me to resist if I owned an AR.

  • 666 likes nice

  • my 16 inch xm-16 has got about a 3 moa spread, is that what it's suppose to be?

  • @themanwich212

Depends on the ammo. What sort of stuff are you shooting through it?

  • @PulletSurprise American Eagle 55 grain .223

  • You experience alot of jamming with this weapon?

  • this guy is great!!

  • Gud day sir, when it come to guns you're my idol, just wanna ask you some questions, what can you say about the elisco m4 manufactured in the philippines?and any comments on m4s being modified like the m4s in magpul videos.God bless sir and more power.

  • Thanks for sharing Hickok45! I like the video!

  • I feel bad for whoever steps on ur lawn.

  • can you buy the military version of the m4 in the USA

  • @RonanJ1 if you get permission from the BATF. it requires a background check, lots of paperwork, but it can be done. Civilians can own full auto weapons if they have the money to pay for the expense of getting licensed and have no criminal record and are willing to do the paperwork.

  • @glockfan5193 thanks for your reply its good to know thanks again

  • @glockfan5193

Lol I know right people think full autos are "banned" you CAN basically own any firearm with a class 3 FFL

  • @tubevideoguy762

There is no Class 3 FFL, there is a Class III SOT that allows one to purchase and procure NFA Title II stuff, though.

The gear doesn't belong to the individual, the law says it can't. Instead it's part of the business's inventory. Personal use for anything other than demonstrations for potential buyers is illegal, as well.

  • @PulletSurprise

class 3 "special occupational tax" that is payed only after you have a federal firearms license so it's easier to say class 3 ffl and allowing someone to keep an m60 in their home and fire it whenever i consider ownership.

  • @tubevideoguy762

There's no way the ATF would approve an SOT to run out of someone's residence. SOT's are businesses, quite unlike FFL's, which are often used for personal pleasure or collecting.

And it's not easier to say "class 3 ffl", it's just wrong.

  • @PulletSurprise

whatever they do allow personal class 3s and any type of gun to be owned by individuals because a friend of mine has had a class 3 license for years and owns an m60 and m2 machine gun which he doesn't shoot often because .50 bmg ammo is dam expensive so fuck you guy if you're going to call somebody wrong know what the hell you're talking about first

  • @tubevideoguy762

Those are probably transferable machine guns your alleged friend has. Then it's not a license or SOT, it's just a tax stamp and a long wait in an ATF Form 4.

    And you have no guns.

  • @PulletSurprise

sure guy just because id rather spend my money on other things instead of video equipment just to post videos on the internet doesn't mean assholes like you know shit about who i am. where are all of you gun videos? as for machine guns you happen to be right i don't own any but i have other kinds and have been a proud nra member for years. by the way if i had a class 3 license and a lot of money i would be allowed to by say an f2000 assault rifle with that license. dumb ass.

  • @tubevideoguy762

I see you play CoD, too.

    Fantastic.

  • @PulletSurprise

you know there is nothing i hate more than getting into an online argument with someone i'll never meet. so this is my last reply to you. so many people are using "you must play call of duty" as an insult well guess what if it was a bad game millions of people wouldn't be playing it. so keep on believing what ever you want to about me and i'll just keep living my life away from your pointless argument.

  • @tubevideoguy762

    You'll be back.

What's it like not having guns?

  • best gun ever

  • @347avatar while its not as bad a gun as some would have you believe, id take an m14 over m4 anyday (for shooting targets, anyways)

  • @jsnunya well i know for sure an m14 is semi-automatic (im not sure if you can turn it automatic) but id take the m4 because it is automatic and you still get same accuracy

  • @347avatar An M14 is a selective fire weapon... an M1A is the civilian version and is Semi-Auto only. I'll take an M14 over an M4 any day.

  • @GoldenRing1989 If you imagine skipping a rock on water, it will help you understand why the higher velocity round does more damage. While a slowly thrown rock may sink, if you throw it quick it will skip around. The .223 does the same thing to your tissue.

  • @GoldenRing1989 Forward assists push the bolt carrier forward in the event of a round not being chambered completely. They all have them, although the earlier versions have a different shaped button. As far as diameter of the round goes, .22 and .223 are very similar. However, the power of the .223 is caused by a much larger casing and more powder. The .223 has a muzzle velocity of around 3000 fps versus only around 1100 for .22lr.
