  • Any hoo... The low carb diet seems like the only diet that works for me, but if I don't take a laxative every other day, I will get constipated and will really hurt like crazy. But over all if you cut out the bad carbs, and just eat protein, fruits, and vegetables, you can will lose weight quickly.

  • Oh hey! Have you tried cleverous 402 diet (do a google search)? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my father lost tons of weight with it.

  • Hey have you tried the Acuspeed 24 Diet (do a google search)? I hear some unbelivable talk about it and my father burned a lot of pounds on it.

  • Low carb diets work with the fat. No one on a low carb diet should be limiting there fat intake. We need fat with our protein.

  • It is ridiculous to me that people still want to believe there is some magical diet that will lower their weight and keep it off for a lifetime without any other effort. I say this... eat your steak, potato, and veggies. Eat your fruit. Pasta is not evil. Nor is rice. It comes down to portion control... calories in, calories out. Low carb is calorie deficit... one less macronutrient on ur plate, less calories consumed. I eat a healthy well balanced diet, and i exercise.

  • @reptilianskin Is that the reason why when I tried both a high carb diet and low carb diet of the SAME amount of calories, I lost significantly more weight on the low carb approach?

  • @reptilianskin I appreciate the call to "moderation" in what seems to be extremeist/shut my ears mentality but you are missing the real issue that those that advocate the carb/insulin hypothesis of fat accumulation. The real issue to being overweight is an overabundance of fat in the body. The science of how the body accumulate fat seems to be too much insulin, caused by carbohydrates. To claim moderation is akin to saying, "cigarettes are not evil, cocaine is not evil, its all about moderation"

  • I like how the high fat diet improves blood pressure and cholesterol and then he goes on to say that low carb dieters should eat leaner meats to be "heart healthy"

  • @StabbyRaccoon -absolutely right. i wish the study would differentiate the" weight loss" as fat reduction or muscle loss.

  • @StabbyRaccoon I feel your frustration. Unfortunately, the low fat/low calorie ideas have entrenched itself into all discourse of health, for so long, that even when highly educated doctors like Gupta see incontrovertible evidence demonstrating the opposite, they still fall back on the old advice. It will take some time, but I think we are coming to a turning point in public discussions about dietary health. Ten years ago, men like Gupta would have scoffed at low carb lifestyles.

  • @geiuy Yep, the 7 countries study, paid off by the grain producers to push corn products down our throats. 30 years of bs medical advice based on a grand marketing scheme... and now people eat almost 75% less saturated fat, and are fatter than ever... nice job on their part...
