i used to work in one those animal humane society places and yes they kill any gamecock that they confiscated. Unfortunately some of these bird are colored very uniquely and their color traits are only in these game birds. They are absolutely beautiful. Now what happens to the 10s of thousands of these birds in the US. They are lost for all time.

i used to work in one those animal humane society places and yes they kill any gamecock that they confiscated. They had horses, cows, goats, dogs, cats, you name it and to tell you the truth they were not taken care of as they should have been any little kid can take care of an animal better then these animal rights activists.

There are also plenty of other storied circulating about the HSUS and the SPCA about euthanizing perfectly adoptable animals.

Well, as someone who knows something about these birds I have a comment or two. These birds have been bred for their aggressive traits for hundreds of years.
Unfortunately some of these bird are colored very uniquely and their color traits are only in these game birds. They are absolutely beautiful. Now what happens to the 10s of thousands of these birds in the US. They are lost for all time.

I'm almost positive they will be put down. How could they be adopted out? THey can't be housed in a normal coop or they'll kill each other, and I don't think there are enough people to adopt a few hundred roosters as apartment pets. Sad.
