My favorite part of this tune is the key change, musically speaking from the F minor to A-flat minor. I'm glad you were able to capture it, especially as Ponty got into it.
Jean Luc has embraced the TECH MIDI side of music. for many years. He has always been on the cutting edge. The studio version, I am sure he sequenced the backing syncopated parts. That what I like about Ponty Later Johnny G long Island
Very nice. The life performance soulds a bit different, but very good. Too bad all those folks were in the back screaming. You'd think they were at a metal or a rap concert.
Your girlfriend sounds like a keeper. I need a woman like that lol. This song takes me back to the happy moments of my early childhood. One of my most favorite songs by one of my most favorite musicians.
This is a jewel. I heard his music when I was a kid in Detroit. I bought the Open Mind album and I have the album with this song on it, I forgot the album title. I bought these when I was a kid ,and I forgot about them because I know longer have a turn table. But I will have to invest in getting something so I can pull out my music. Thanks for reminding me of such good music from my childhood.
Oh crap, I'm sorry Petary it didn't occur to me that it was YOU screaming in the video. I honestly didn't mean to hurt your feelings. After all, you provide such a valuable role at concerts. The music sounds so much better with the addition of your WOOOOOOOO at just those perfect moments when the music hits an accent. And everyone knows it's YOU that we're coming to hear, not the performer. I mean seriously, isn't that why they call it YOUtube ... it is after all, all about YOU!!
@skywatcher456 Are you KIDDING me?!! That's like saying if people weren't hooping and hollering in any of Michael Jackson's concerts you would have enjoyed it!! That's just part of the experience! People are gonna get excited! It's freakin' JEAN LUC PONTY!!!!! :)
He really is a cool guy. His road managers didn't want us to meet him but Ponty and his keyboardist (his name escapes me right now) seemed to love talking to us.
How funny that I recorded this too---yours sounds way better (although i got another minute and a half of it)---you're so lucky to have had such awesome seats to record it from---I can see his face better than i could when i was at the show!

Once again, a perfectly good piece of music ruined by concert goers behaving badly.

Yeah, my girlfriend gives WAYY too good of gifts. The reason why we turned it off is because a security guard got PISSED! Twice.
Like JLP really cares? Doubt it. I met him after the show and he was totally sweet.
