I just got my braces , it's doesn't hurt buttttt I wanted to gag so much but don't be scared . The bad part was I cried so much afterwards because I look weird :/ But it doesn't hurt it , afterwards when your all done your mouth and teeth will feel sore .

the palate expander doesn't hurt getting it on only when they push it on. the only other time it hurt was when they were sizing my teeth and couldn't find the correct size so that took an hour :P

but I am getting it off tomarrow and it looked like there is a lot of blood and disgusting food particles that were roaming in there. it also looks like it hurts :(

@quinnnnman i had an expander for a while and i dont remember that it hurt at all to remove it. my guess is he was bleeding from his gum which might have gotten scraped because i didn't bleed. dont worry about it, it's not as bad as you think!

Mine also did not hurt at all and didt ast bad at all your orthadontist was very rxtreme i didt havr to ware glasses or anything. I didn't do it for aesthetic reasons, but only because I suffer from TMJ symptoms, and even with that in mind I'm still iffy about having to do this for a year. Then again, it might only be because I can't stand the place where it 's at and the yahoos that lied to me about how long it would take.

@nikkielover101 oh you see, spacers are little rubber bands that go between your back teeth to expand your molars. While expanders expand your entire top roof and they have a metal bridge in between.

@DisasterAwaits yeah they are really sore but. After about three days the soreness goes away unless you mess with your teeth of chew a lot of harder food. Mine don't hurt any more the first day sucks really bad though ypur gonna wish you had your teeth pulled.
