Why isnt Mick Mars on this list or slash eddie van halen?? These guys are some of the most important people in guitar playing history but im glad you got Robbin on there
Man I just love ya. I was wondering: "which solo have he chosen for George Lynch? In My Dreams?" Hah, matched perfectly. Very underrated but one of the best guitarists.
First of all Warren is better than crosby,,and Randy was better than George also for got jake, friedman, mustaine, batio, skolnic, adrian is better than murray,I am glad I saw Reb in there though!!
Ok list but I can tell its all your opinion and not fact LOL!!
@HeavyMetalDude1994 Honestly, I think his type led to the demise of 80's metal. Big hair, poser, and lean on musical talent. If you go back to the roots of metal, even 1980 - 1984, you needed to be an extraordinary guitar player/band to have success. Ratt had some redemption in DeMartini but was a movement in the wrong direction, the direction that eventually made the average listener ask themself, "do I really like this music?"
Yeah George Lynch is one my favourite guitar players of all time, but i can tell you someone who can shred the craziest out all those guitarists back in the 80's was Gary Moore...RIP
@LastOfSixMusic Hes good,,but your just a fan!!My top five. Randy Jake Dime Dave M. Friedman Skolnic Reb Satch Via Becker Moore Wylde Lynch Whoops more than five sorry!
dude... this is why it should be a top 20 not 10... where's EVH, ronnie tekro, nuno betencourt, vito bratta, marty friedman, phil colen, steve vai, joe satriani, michael schenker, ??? where are they man? you put steve harris in and not EVH!?!? what planet r u from?!?!?! i like how u got george at the top, im sure u can guess who my num 1 would be but lynch would be 2nd. nice how you got becker in there too...
,and I do not agree this list, I can see your tributes, but you need to do more research, cause I was there at the Wiskey and the Rodeo and I have seen it all from stage to back stage and you missed a
@blueeyedsouthern Yes, I'm sure that i've been missing a lot of great artist. This list is based on my top 10 favourite guitarplayers in the 80's. They are also a huge influence for me.
Where is Adrian Smith? and Jake E Lee? What about Nuno Bettencourt and Dave Sabo? Eddie Van Halen? Glenn Tipton and KK Downing? John Sykes or Steve Stevens. Ritchie Sambora and Tommy Shaw? Kirk Hammett Zakk Wylde Brad Giliis , Craig Goldie or Doug Aldrich?
1. Eddie Van Halen 2. John Petrucci 3. Steve Vai 4. Joe Satriani 6. Yngwie Malmsteen 7. Dimebag Darrell 8. Reb Beach 9. George Lynch 10. Dave Mustaine
1. EVH 2. Malmsteen 3. Reb Beach 4. George Lynch 5. Dave Murray 6. Harry K. Cody 7. Warren DeMartini 8. Paul Gilbert 9. Richie Kotzen 10. Steve Lynch ... and so on.
shouldn't steve vai be on here? He played with a ton of metal bands during the 80's. Steve Vai's style may not be metal, but neither was Marty Friedmans
Love Warren but he is not better than Randy Rhoads. Love George Lynch to but Randy got the gig for Ozzy. Randy, George, And EVH are the top guitarists.
Top 10 in no particular order: 1. Ronni LeTekro 2. Akira Takasaki 3. Jake E Lee 4. John Sykes 5. Yngwie Malmsteen 6. Randy Rhoads 7. Paul Gilbert 8. George Lynch 9. Chris Poland 10. Marty Friedman
A pretty good list,man!Personally,I'd also add John Norum,John Sykes,Kee Marcello,Jake E. Lee,Vito Bratta,Kai Hansen,Michael Weikath,Hermann Frank and Wolf Hoffman,but I guess you can't have them all...

Indeed Vivian Campbell was awesome. It sucks that he's become such a douche. All he does now is whine about how much he doesn't like this music.

@Explorer766 No, I just think that he offered alot to heavy metal guitar in the 80's.
