  • Okay....

Gail, do you THRIVE on emotional pain???

Rosie, shouldn't you be leaning on some lamp post in a red light distict?

Doesn't Graeme make you laugh, even in dark situations?

Can anyone look at Anna without their heart getting all nice and warm? She always makes me smile....

  • At .54 Gail reminds me of that young ape from 'Planet of the Apes'

  • Zira-Planet of the Apes seen it with my dad,1968. U're right

  • Ooooh, that's a horrible thing to say - about poor Zira! ;)

  • Gary Windass was beaten-up badly in real life a few weeks ago which possibly meant a change in the story-line where they had no choice but to send him to prison while his face heals-up in real life.

  • There was a bakery on Coronation Street a few years ago, well Rosamund Street, right beside Roy's Rolls much to Cropper's chagrin. It was run by an eccentric old character called Diggery Compton I think? Him and Fred Elliott, God rest his soul, would have good sparring sessions.

I think Molly, Tyrone's play-away wife, was Diggery's grand-daughter and that's how she came into the soap but I may be wrong. Going from memory here. It was only three or four years ago.

  • Nearly right eamo95. Molly was Diggery's daughter :)

  • When Davy boy was told his mom Gail is in there he did not run in to help, however when 70 pound Tina sees here dad in handcuffs she tries to beat off a 200 pound Copper to free her Dad-Love shines. Thanks FullEps for breaking into our hearts with the Corrie Love Shows.

  • joe didnt put up much of a fight lol

  • Never disliked David Platt as much as I do this episode.

    Well, so far.

  • I know, also, what young man stands there and doesn't go in after their mum?

  • The kind who knocks her down a flight of steps and leaves her for dead, then runs straight to his girl friend's house to establish an alibi. That's what kind.

  • Oh, I think we just figured out the problem. You see, Davey Boy is NOT a man, young or otherwise. He's a needy little boy, emotionally. Davey could be 70 and he'd still not be a man.

  • Ohhhh...tea at the house of Windass...and one of Eddie's baked creations and a brew to go with it...in front of the telly! Say what you will of the parenting style of the Windasses, but Anna is really sweet...and Eddie for all his lazy, bummy, pilfering ways -- still, a guy who can bake....can't be too bad...

Too bad Gary Windass didn't take up the 'honest' family trade --baking and instead followed his uncle Len (crime..or loan sharking or whatever it is...).

  • Eddie has got to open a bakery on the cobbles!

Actually, Eddie is a loving parent. Not the most skilled, maybe, but I think he means well ( most of the time).

Gary is still a question mark. His character has never really been well fleshed out. Is he basically good? Basically bad? Confused? A victim of bad luck? I never got a complete picture of him. I don't know if that's how he was written, or how he's acting.

And Len is just a rotter, although he does love his family in his own way.

  • Agreed! The Corrie neighborhood is missing a legitimate bakery! It's got just about everything else! As for Gary Windass, perhaps he's being saved for later-- writers can either make him out to be a hardened criminal (someone to really beat up evil/nasty David) or reformed when he gets out --perhaps another 'love' interest for Tina if the Tina/Jason thing doesn't work out for whatever reason -- well, it's a soap opera, isn't it? Things in the soap world have a way of just not turning out well..

  • Oh and Len -- he's rotten! Although he did try and help out his nephew Gary -- I'll give him that. The actor that plays him certainly does a great job portraying a sleazy, morally bankrupt, possibly dangerous, criminal-type...Even criminals, mafiosos, etc love their own kids...although if you watched Godfather (I've seen bits and pieces) and those types -- they're not totally against murdering their own family members...honor killings, I suppose...

(I was never into these kind of films...)

  • It was nice seeing Telly Savalas again. ;) Who loves ya, Joey baby?

  • I LOVED Kojak! Except this time, the UK version says, "What's his name, luv?"

I love how the Brits call each other 'luv'....it's quite charming...

  • Anna is brilliant! I don't like the rest of the Windasses, but Anna is lovely!

  • OMG

  • How 'bout that pimp walk at 1:00! Classic!

  • I LUV Anna! ( not in a Biblical way ;) ). She's one of the most genuinely nice people on the show and she has no devious agenda. She's beautiful inside and out.
