Depuis que ma femme m'a fait connaître les chansons de ce poète lyrique, je ne cesse de l'écouter quand je peux. Nous avons la même voix lui et moi, mais hélas, je ne peux pas chanter ce qu'il chante, ne parlant pas l'arabe standard, à fortiori quand c'est l'arabe classique. Bravo pour cette vidéo ! Si vous trouvez sa chanson : awedti eyni ala rouaki, en karaoké, en anglais ou en français, ça m'intéresse. Mais en arabe cela m'intéresse aussi.

Those who compare riad Alsunbati to ANY other artist in the Arab world,with all due respect, simply have no idea what they are talking about. He was an absolute master, his genious resides in his utter originality. no other Artist comes even close.

@shrilaksmi3 You have a valid point, abdel wahab was the most prolific of arab artists. The difference between him and Sunbati is that abdel wahab intruduced plenty of foreign flavor into his music, in itself not at all a bad thig, whereas Sunbati is a school of his own. His music is masterfully original and entirely arabic in charachter, you will not find a single note in his music that was borrowed from any other culture. a true standout. his musicical talent remains unmatched.

I have to eleborate my answer much more, but at the end of his life, Abdel Wahab reached an extraordinary concentration, almost unhuman. There are two of his compositions, I have to find the names, that from my point of view are unmatched; only Sunbati, Bach and Shubert have reached that heights.
