Yeah I know you're the guy that likes to go tell on people, I've experienced that from you already myself. I'm not that guy... besides the Regional and District techs already know of the curtain issues and agree that replacing the curtain cylinder would be way too expensive. I'm a guy who relies on the RT's and DT's to get things like bots and parts etc so I'm certainly not gonna stir the pot and get them in trouble over shows in stores at this point.
@chuckecheeseshows Yeah just wasn't working and was going to be too expensive to get him running again so the upper management just told the district tech to remove him. I did get the bot itself though! :) I passed it on to a friend though who used it to trade for parts he needed for his 3 stage Jasper bot. ;)
@pizzacam Cool! It's so sad they don't take the time or money to fix the prop characters, they just figure that throwing them in the dumpster is better. Besides a few extra movements, the props are what separated the 1 and 2 stage shows from the 3-stage! They can't cost THAT much, and the parts must be in stock, right? :)
@chuckecheeseshows Well not in the grand scheme of what a store MAKES... However they store doesn't USUALLY give a big budget towards the show. That's why regular maintenence is so important that way techs won't have like 5 issues with every character at once...
@pizzacam True, true. Techs around here work with what they have and do preventative maintenance as much as possible. Even our 3-stages (Springfield, Whitehall, and Wilmington, DE) look good. I've noticed lately that shows seem to be getting better and better. I heard that the company is starting to invest in shows heavily when they need a lot of work. Good news huh? It seemed like 5-6 years ago 80% of shows were junk.
@chuckecheeseshows Hmm IDK about THAT... if they ar investing in 3 stages it must only be certain stores cause ours looks like crap... They work on it more than they used to but sadly they let it go far too long and now I don't think it'll ever be perfect again.
I meant all stages. I have noticed that in the past 6 years shows in this region look better than ever. You mentioned somewhere else that Ingram's character position angles are bad. Did they get that fixed? Also, could you take a video of that stage one day, the last video I saw was in 2010 and I want to see if any progress has been made. I know that Corporate just gave the go ahead to fix up Phoenix's show and another 3-stage somewhere in Utah is having giant repairs done also. Finally! :)
@chuckecheeseshows Ah ok well I don't really know about the Studio C shows here cause I don't go to those very much not being a Studio C fan but I DO know they don't have the curtains working at the two with working curtains. One is because they tech said he just doesn't wanna fix them cause the kids'll just yank down the curtain again. The other store IDK what the reason is. But no they still haven't fixed the critical angles at my store and their cosmetics are sad.
I love being the guy to get lazy techs in trouble with the RT! LOL! Here in New England it's still existing stage-land and we barely have any Studio C's. Portland, Everett, Methuen, and Warwick have their curtains working and Meriden has theirs turned off. The other four C's in NE have plain ol' drapes. A Studio C Beta without working curtains is almost un-watchable in my opinion! I actually ENJOY a perfectly working Alpha w/curtains but when the bot is off or not working... It's a LIGHT show!
It was pretty shot when I got it... I had to buy several new cylinders and a friend and I had to run all new airlines etc. So it's not perfect yet, but eventually I'll have him running just as well as Pasqually.
@andersonvillas1277 Actually no, I can't run him with Cyberstar cause I only have one of the greybox drawers which isn't the drawer that controls him so for him I have to use ProgramBlue right now. I DO plan to have someone rewire the one drawer for me so I can run both him AND Pasqually from that one drawer.

I thought the Moon did the announcing on the 3-stage, unless they have recently started using Pizza Cam.
