This is very impressive... however it's worth noting that the footwork during the blast in the original version of War is twice as fast, ie a bomb blast instead of this traditional grindcore blast beat. So as far as I know the song 'technically' still hasn't been played...

Meshuggah started programming drums for awhile due to studio time constraints, not because Tomas can't play what he writes. They've played this song live many times. Fun fact...the drum machine they used was designed and built by Fredrick Thorndendal & Tomas Haake.
