absolute funniest thing just happened-- my brother was listening to "watercolour" by pendulum and told me to turn the video down... turns out that the part of the song we were listening to ended up going perfectly with each scene xD the video got a whole lot more dramatic after that xD

@animefan0218 I have watched it and would say yes!!!! But, it does seem to have the affect of either you like it for the realism of the story or dislike it , too the point of hating it. It 's up to your point of view of the story !!! ^_^
@animefan0218 It's worth watching if you're a realist and cynical, more so than bubbly and dreamy. It's not a classic anime (in that the cute girl doesn't get the guy) but i'd definatly recommend it, especially if you can get a good english dub version!

@LizzyLouFiftyTwo Also it does only show you that they went on 3 dates but it implys that they were alot closer, the number of dates doesnt define a relationship especially with students, you can see how close they were by a few things 1 he met harukas family (not a big thing but shows that they were kinda close) then they almost slept together and lastly he grieved for over a year shutting everything else out, you wouldnt do that unless you were in love
@FearRisma I agree with many of your points. He loved Haruka, as he did grieve for her so deeply. I felt much pity for Haruka, but I suppose I don't see her as real, and more a cliche' of the typical anime girl, as she is shy and dosile and stuck in a fantasy world. Blue haired girl was unlike any other anime character. She was plain, and broken, and a little bitter, and complicated. She seems more relatable and more like an average person. Those are my main reasons for being on her side.
@FearRisma I suppose I like realism in cartoons. In most romantic anime's the guy would've waited and waited for Haruka to wake up, and then marry her and they'd stay in love forever, or they'd kill themselves tragicaly. This showed what it's REALY be like. I don't think blue haired girl did anything bitchy or underhanded. She fell in love, and evidentally, so did he. I just wish that jerk hadn't screwed both of them around like he did. In my opinion, blue-haired girl was the real victim in this

its been almost a year since I saw this anime, and Im still evading sad/depressing animes. Episode 2 made me feel like shit, then episode 3 made me hate mitsuki and the guy, then that ending sucked.
I cried so hard for 10 minutes straight when the story ended, it's such a touching story. The Genuine friendships shared between kind people in a realistic setting. It Made me feel wide range of emotions, from happy, mellow to sad. I hope one day I can have a friendship half as meaningful as this.

For anyone who didint watch the anime. dont say the ending sucked. it was realistic ! he spent a year of his life pyning for her in the hospital room everyday, failing highschool classes, and any chance at college, and HER parents where the one who asked him to stay away. as for her best friend. she loved him before she set the two up. and she took care of him while she wasnt there. not saying it was right but the ending showed what real life was about. yea its sad, but it was beautiful Goodbye.

Yeah, we all know the ending sucked, but it was realistic, so I respect them for making it that way, not all stories are going to have a happy ending.

@AmarrahJade simple the love he had for the girl was from 3 years ago, the girl went into a coma from a car accident and the guy moved on; when she woke up he had a choice to make to go back to his past relationship with her or to let go and he chose the latter; i like this anime and i think the ending was appropriate but sad, there's also 4 ova episodes.

Don't get me wrong, its still a good anime, and one that anyone who enjoys drama/romance should watch. However, the fact is that I would never be able to do what Mitsuki did. I could never betray my BF like that, and it really wasn't Haruka's fault, because Mitsuki should of said something from the beginning and she didn't. She waited until Haruka couldn't do a thing about it....freaking coward. Also, I don't think people watch anime, so it can be realistic, we have enough of that in real life.

For anyone who didint watch the anime. dont say the ending sucked. it was realistic ! he spent a year of his life pyning for her in the hospital room everyday, failing highschool classes, and any chance at college, and HER parents where the one who asked him to stay away. as for her best friend. she loved him before she set the two up. and she took care of him while she wasnt there. not saying it was right but the ending showed what real life was about. yea its sad, but it was beautiful Goodbye.

I love the way that made the AMV. It made me cry because i kinda understood what was happeing with the pictures. I give you a 100%! I loved it so much. im sorry i know it says dont respond to the thingy but im gonna respond anyway... this is a really good anime it made me depressed for a while but i never watched the ova...hahah i never watch ovas but this anime reminds me of (school days) it is some what simliar not a great ending but its really get you going well srry for comment lol..

This anime is the saddest one I've ever watched.. this anime is like so similar to real life .. i can watch this video over and over again.. and everytime that guys says SAYONARA iget this weird feeling in my throat like i want to cry but i can't.. <3 and this video reminds my of my exbestfrind.. that totally forgotten about me when she went out with this guy..

Yeah, we all know the ending sucked, but it was realistic, so I respect them for making it that way, not all stories are going to have a happy ending.

when i first saw this anime i watched it from the 1st to the last episode all in 1 nite LOL I STAYED UP ALL NITE AND WATCHED THE WHOLE SERIES MAN THIS ANIME PISSED ME OFF SO BAD I WILL NEVER FORGET HOW BADLY THEY DID HER. THE AMV WAS GREAT THUMBS UP

But in the anime, i think, while shes unconsious, her best friend, blue hair, falls for the boy and then her little sister finds out and asks the guy, why are u cheating on my sister.... well you get the pic... this anime is ****** sad!

@AmarrahJade simple the love he had for the girl was from 3 years ago, the girl went into a coma from a car accident and the guy moved on; when she woke up he had a choice to make to go back to his past relationship with her or to let go and he chose the latter; i like this anime and i think the ending was appropriate but sad, there's also 4 ova episodes.

Don't get me wrong, its still a good anime, and one that anyone who enjoys drama/romance should watch. However, the fact is that I would never be able to do what Mitsuki did. I could never betray my BF like that, and it really wasn't Haruka's fault, because Mitsuki should of said something from the beginning and she didn't. She waited until Haruka couldn't do a thing about it....freaking coward. Also, I don't think people watch anime, so it can be realistic, we have enough of that in real life.

plus theres a sequel to this, and i watched the first couple of episode and was verry confused.
beacause its like this whole ending with him leaving haruka NEVER happened. :/
