I like reverse osmosis + a De-Ionizer to clean up what the ro membrane does not catch.. for all you peeps that want to get a unit look for a membrane with a 98% or higher rejection rate.. you wont find those at most retail stores ( none that i have ever seen in the midwest).. helpful hint.. non chain pet stores that carry fish will sell you RO water very cheaply if you cant afford a unit in the present moment.

@mcds87 It's really about how you take the videos. Meaning if you get freaked out easily it's hard to swallow. There are some things I don't fret about in terms of food I eat. I know what's good and bad for me. And ofcourse anything in excess is going to be bad. When it comes to fluoride it's a hard thing to stomach. You won't believe what you find out about it, but it's the truth. Fluoride is toxic industrial waste...nothing more. Studies show it has no affect on cavities good or bad.

Once swallowed, it does nothing for your teeth. And believe it or not, the form of fluoride added to drinking water is sourced from a toxic waste product (see YouTube watch?v=LLWk3cBnHOg)

I can't think of any reason to drink or bathe in fluoridated water.

@DjGoGo09 I am a vegan myself so I eat the vast majority of my calories from leafy greens and fruits. These foods are mostly water. You do not need to drink the recommended 10 glasses of water per day unless you have the typical high sodium lower nutrient density American diet. Toothpaste contains this same fluoride but you spit it out your not swallowing it. I wouldn't worry about it too much. You can get a reverse osmosis system with parts and install for around $200.

@likeOMGitsUNLTD it's been a while since i researched the topic, but as of about a year ago there were no conclusive studies to suggest a correlation between the average amount of fluoride in tap water and any disease. i did however find many studies linking the types of bacteria that grow in untreated water to a number of diseases and deaths. as i said to azurretown, just because a compound is dangerous in high doses doesn't mean it is unsafe in low doses.

@robertk1968 Yes, distillation is the purest form of water...almost too pure. ^_^ Distilled = Evaporated, therefore, no particulate matter can travel with the vaporized water to the top, then that water is collected. Not recommended for continuous drinking as it will eventually, after removing the toxins in your body, will begin to absorb nutrients that your body may need. I try to alternate 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. But, check out "How to filter your shower water!" by UW..huge exposure here.
