I read some review saying that the APX and CPX were completely different tonally, but I didn't realize it was to this extent. Then again, I could just be hoodwinked by the fact that he's playing two different pieces in two different styles.

i must admit the cpx sounds alot nicer! but i prefer the look of the apx, it's slender body and very nice yet strangely shaped sound hole

Is the apx 700 better than tha 720 sca? Is the sound just as "big" on the 700 as on the 720sca?

I own the CPX 700, awesome guitar acoustic or plugged in, great performance. Though if something ever happened to it I probably replace it with the CPX 900. This guitar is so easy to play, well set up.

I own the APX 700...These guitars are really good practicing and maybe live guitars but not made for studio work because there's hardly any bass.

But still a great guitar

What is the difference between the APX and the CPX ?

APX is smaller and thiner than CPX. The CPX sounds also more natural, pretty similar to spanish guitar, where the APX has a more metallic sound.

F*ck The APX and the CPX are, like WORLDS apart! I played the APX yesterday in my local store, and the strings are rather, er, high strung on the higher positions. My Ovation is terrible to get in tune, but much easier to play on the higher frets.

Wonderfull guitar! + awesome performance! = fantastic music. Ill buy the apx, i played it at the local dealer through a fender acoustasonic amp and what can i say, for us$ 700 its an outstanding instrument that should retail for 1000.
