He may be gone for alil while but i part of him lives on in who ever watches this video. I hope his family can find comfort in knowing that .
I stumbled upon this video and the name rang a bell. I didn't know Shaun personally, but I did know people that he worked with. I remember the day we heard of what happened outside of Taji and I remember the sorrow I felt at his memorial service. I have always kept the memorial pamphlet with me as a reminder of just how precious life was because Shaun and I were the same age. my heart goes out to you and all those who have lost loved ones in this war and in past wars and conflicts. as a soldier myself i know the effects of war and its cost. i salute all those fighting over there still today. they are doing a fine job no matter what others say or think. i have love many of the finest men i will ever know but i know in my heart they are beside the Lord Jesus Christ praying for everyones safe ride home. i hope all the fallen soldiers know they didnt let anyone down!!
im truly sorry about the loss. i understand the pain you have had to go through. im only 18 and my dad was killed this summer in iraq by an IED. he didnt get to see me graduate or anything. the last thing he said to me was that he loved me. he was my best friend. just dont ever forget why shaun was over there. he was making the world safer for you. he will always be with you...forever. and he will always love you. dont ever forget that.
It's so hard! I saw this vid and when I recognized that Shaun's birthday was only 3 years after mine and he died exactly 2 years before my returning from Afghanistan I was really shocked. And still I am.

Why would you say something so mean. It does not matter where you are from in this world, what you think of America and its politics, or how you feel towards the U.S. Army. This is a man who had a family that really misses him. You do not have to praise his service to his country. That is your right, but you should at least show respect for him as a young man who left behind many people and memories. Yeah, the American economy is screwed up but save your opinions for a better place.

my heart goes out to you and all those who have lost loved ones in this war and in past wars and conflicts. as a soldier myself i know the effects of war and its cost. i salute all those fighting over there still today. they are doing a fine job no matter what others say or think. i have love many of the finest men i will ever know but i know in my heart they are beside the Lord Jesus Christ praying for everyones safe ride home. i hope all the fallen soldiers know they didnt let anyone down!!

im truly sorry about the loss. i understand the pain you have had to go through. im only 18 and my dad was killed this summer in iraq by an IED. he didnt get to see me graduate or anything. the last thing he said to me was that he loved me. he was my best friend. just dont ever forget why shaun was over there. he was making the world safer for you. he will always be with you...forever. and he will always love you. dont ever forget that.

It's so hard! I saw this vid and when I recognized that Shaun's birthday was only 3 years after mine and he died exactly 2 years before my returning from Afghanistan I was really shocked. And still I am.

this isn't the first time i've seen this vid.first time i seen it i cried because first of all he was so young,and you both seemed so in love :[..i stumbled across it again,and it just hit home b-c there are so many people i know that are in iraq,and it worries me day&night that something might happen to them. even though its been 2 years since hes passed,i'm truly sorry. i wish there was something i could say or do to bring him back to his family's arms again. :[ RIP SHAUN.

Death is always in the shadows when our loved ones are there. I am so sorry for your loss. My sweetheart is there and have heard him say on the phone many times, "Oh my God, we're getting hit." And then the phone goes dead. And you don't know and have to wait. Hugs sis.

Why would you say something so mean. It does not matter where you are from in this world, what you think of America and its politics, or how you feel towards the U.S. Army. This is a man who had a family that really misses him. You do not have to praise his service to his country. That is your right, but you should at least show respect for him as a young man who left behind many people and memories. Yeah, the American economy is screwed up but save your opinions for a better place.

I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart all my family except for my husband is military all of whom have served in on ewar or another. my former father in law(3 times now) and brother in law(once) have both been in the iraqi war. thank the lord they have returned to us; but we know each time they go over they might not come back and they are ok with that because they joined to save live and our freedom and saftey. thanks for the real pictures and saring your live story with us.
