Absolutely AWESOME video Lindsay !!! I am from a family of truck drivers and no one appreciates a truck driver more than I do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for putting truck drivers in such a good light. They deserve it. They truly are highway angels. i would like to thank you... its nice that someone in the general public sheds a possitive light on truck drivers.... we are normal everyday working men and weman with familys like everyone else.... most of us would with out a second thought put ourselves in danger to save another... this song and video means alot to me and im sure it will mean alot to other driver... and once again thank you
The crazy thing is that we live in a world where if you rescue someone like its depicted in this video ... there's a pretty good chance they'll sue you for damages. I've heard of people even taking legal action against ambulance workers for performing CPR because the paramedics cracked a couple ribs because they were SAVING THEIR LIVES.
This is a great video. Hope lots of people watch it and pass it on. Truck drivers need some good PR for all they do. Lindsay's song is great and tells a great story. She needs more recognition!!

Everyone is correct as to the amount of respect we receive out there, (or don't receive) We need lots of PR, and this song, and others like it, will be great for the industry.
My Uncle was just named the 2011 Highway Angel... :) What a great song, I am so thankful that these great men and women are recognized for their heroic deeds. Truckers do not get the respect they deserve in our society, I am glad there are people out there noticing their acts of kindness.
I, like many of you also, pray for the strength that comes from beyond to act in a selfless way when the moment arises. To help a fellow man in need is a characteristic that is unparallelled. To everyone out there on the road who stops to help another, may you be blessed many times over.

Good job, nice that after 15 yrs on the road someone FINALLY puts something positive out about us drivers, we too are human and a majority have done lots of selfless things to help those on the road with us
Love that the "Highway Angel" is a Smith Transport driver (or at least in the video)! Way to go Smith Transport! Truckers are truly "Highway Angels". My husband has been a truck driver for 26 years (21 with Smith Transport) and has been a "Highway Angel" several times!
Pretty proud to see a couple of RexDon drivers in this video! That's a first for us! Truckers are a special breed. I'm glad this showed that they aren't the rough and gruff crowd that much of the public thinks. For the most part, they are just regular folks making a living, enjoying life and being the best neighbors they know how to be.
It's probably one of those "four-wheeler" drivers who believe that ALL big trucks should be off the road, not stopping to think for one moment that they wouldn't have ANYTHING they own, any food in their belly, a roof over their head or even fuel to heat their home or power their car, if it wasn't for a truck bringing it! :-) There would be no Wal-Mart or any other stores without trucks!
The Video Release Party last night (Dec 8, 2011) was a huge success and the video was great. When I first saw it on the big screen, the trucker rescuing the accident victim, I got a huge lump in my throat and it really choked me up! Such a kind selfless act of the trucker, which is what most people don't know about we truckers. It was a total surprise when everybody cheered at the clips of my dog and me! :-) Thanks again for inviting me to appear in the video...the only "chick driver" in it.
Hey Jerry, as I told you on the phone today when you called me to tell me you corrected me in front of the whole world (smile), I told you I had posted that before I remembered Doris appeared in a couple shots with you next to your truck, and I couldn't figure out how to delete it. Too bad Doris hadn't appeared in the truck or dollying down, or something. I'm glad Lindsay asked me if I knew a husband and wife team. Let me clarify, I'm the only chick solo driver. :-)
