My dad was stationed there in the '70s. I was a bit sad to read that Coleman had been deactivated and returned to German control. Good memories of my time there as a kid.

One of the most lovely towns in the world. The people are so lovely, the scenery so peaceful, trully miss the area!

I was born in Lieblos, 4km from Gelnhausen. I went to the Mittelschule there, and later married a GI who was stationed at the Kaserne. I have lived in the States since 1961and thouroughly enjoyed your video. Prima!!!!

Very nice. I have been wanting to do an extensive piece on Gelhnhausen in HD. My mother was born there and I visit often. That fountain with the two pipes coming out of the wall you shot. my mom told me how she would drink from that as a child. The iron grate was now as of yet installed. I nice film.

Thank you very much Andrew. I lived in Gelnhausen from 1980-1981, and have many fond memories of this wonderful little town. On the first morning in Gelnhausen, I woke up, and opened the window in out top floor apt. near the kaserne, and watched the gliders circle overhead, while listening to the Armed Forces Network (AFN) on the radio ("At the tone, the time will be 9:00am in central Europe, the news is next on AFN ... beep ... beep ... beep ... beep ... bahh!")

I spent 30 months in Gelnhausen in 1960 to 1962. Those were the best months of my five and a half years in Germany. I sure would like to have a copy or your videos. Gene Brooks /South Carolina
