  • My students -- college freshmen -- at an American school were quite moved by the story of Private Price. They admired his courage and initiative. A yoing many from Nova Scotia he had gone west to seek his fortune. Then he answered his nation's called to the colors. On the day he died, this 'buck' private had convinced some of his squad mates to help liberate a Belgian. Militariliy, it made no difference but it demonstrates what kind of man he was.

  • Rem4mber Private George Lawrence Price, 28th Northwestern Regiment, whose life was cut short just two minutes before the Armistice took effect that November 1918.
