  • Wow thanks for the vids, Sadie! After the first 2 vids, I'm already sweating more than my usual cardio workout!

  • i've got a question. i really wanna lose weight with this exercise but i feel like it really build up my deltoid which is pretty muscular to begin with and i don't wanna bulk up. what do you think i should do?

  • Hey Sadie, i did the whole four parts and i am planning to be doing them evry morning before going to school, though this means ill have to wake up earlier and it is sooo hard!! but thank u so muchh!!!

  • Very Inspiring!!!!!

  • Hi Sadie!

I'm 15 and i'm on the thicker side. I'm a beginner yogis and i'm trying to do this work out but i can't. i'm noticing how long yer extremities are and mine are about 1/2 that length. Any suggestions?

  • hey sadienardini rly thanks for these video but i have a Q , i woke up have my orange jucie then start playing yoga and i feel the energy goin up , any way smtimes i woke up and little dezzy so i have my breakfast and not playing yoga that day at all, so would you tell me when is the best time to play yoga and if i eaten how long i should wait till i play??

  • Hi tnx for your yoga. Can I do it after meal ? it is a bit difficult.or before meal is better?

  • Hi there,

Always do yoga on an empty stomach, or about an hour or more after you've eaten (lightly) or you can get nauseous. xoSadie

  • I did the first video and I started to get dizzy after this video so I stopped.. I don't think I'm breathing right or something. lol Because I had to lay down for a few , I felt like I was going to pass out.

    a little discouraging

  • Hi--this isn't normal, to feel like that during yoga. Either you had low blood sugar, and needed a piece of fruit or something a little before practice, or you maybe hunched your shoulders to your ears with the hands clasped, cutting off your neck circulation. Or, yes, maybe you weren't doing the slow, deep breaths through the nose that yoga needs. Go slow, watch that your breath stays long and your shoulders released...and see how it goes!

    Namaste, Sadie

  • does this help for post pregos? you know to get the tummy firm? i have tto louse 29 lb to be at my weight limit and my doc actually told me to eat 1s a day and drink cold water the reat instead of eating.

  • Your doctor is TOTALLY wrong, and I don't know who in hell would tell you to do that. It's widely known that the metabolism needs to stay fired up to lose weight. If you eat 4-5 smaller meals through the day, you will feel and lose actual fat, instead of the muscle and water loss that will come from a starvation diet. DON'T DO IT! Read "The 5 Factor Diet" by Harvey Pasternak for some sane advice. And do yoga--moving strongly will do more than not eating ever will. Be fit and free! xoSadie

  • Hey Sadie you must really like yoga!!! cause ur very good and it also helps you strenthen your core im only 10 but i go with my mom to yoga doing the exact same things you do lol good luck with ur beautiful and healthy body best of wishes write back -Jessica

  • I LOVE yoga...and it's really hard sometimes too. But, it makes me feel more like myself, and so I go, even if sometimes I don't want to! It's wonderful that you're starting early--you'll have a lifetime of health ahead of you. Rock on!! xoSadie

  • Wow, the first time i did this i could REALLY feel it :p i guess im a little out of shape. im going to make this a daily routien :) thanks a lot!

  • That's awesome. Let me know how it goes! Sadie

  • Very nice forms and movement to do and well done video.

  • Thanks! Glad you like it!! Sadie

  • i realllly wanna do thisssss stuff but im on the floor and it hurts my neck so bad having to keep looking up and down up and down :(

  • Can you put your computer on the floor...or draw the moves out in stick figures on paper and have it down by you? You'll learn it, and then you can just listen to my voice and not look up anymore. Good luck! S

  • Hi Sadie,

Is there a modification for those who have difficulties doing waterfall warrior for back weaknesses and chaturranga dandasana for wrist contraindications. Thanks!

  • Hi there,

YOu can just do Waterfall Warrior hhigher--always do a seed of the movement even if you can't go down so low. Try Plank Pose to a knee-down chaturanga and only lower down 2 inches. Or, if you have wrist pain. Move just towards plank a little from down dog until you meet your edge, and play it to stretch your wrists out over time. Slow and steady does it! xoSadie

  • waa how can fat people do this ^_^ ahahah but anway its cool

  • Try my video Yoga for Overweight Yogis! That's how;))

    Sadie

  • dear sadie,

i'll let you know when you've changed my life. as for now, let me just say, you've got potential.

    much love,

    eddie

  • Hi Eddie,

I think you'll never let me know, because YOU are the only one who can change your life! It's the true secret of yoga.

    xoSadie

  • Hi there,

It sounds like you need to really pull your navel in towards your spine to firm your core so your lower back doesn't have to do all the work.

Also, back off some of these moves, as in, don't go as far into them as I do, but stop where you feel like you can stay balanced and work there. Like if I wave inside the front knee with my upper body, you just wave down a few inches. Put your knees down in Plank and Chaturanga [low pushup] and pull in your core. You'll get there!

    xoSadie

  • Hey,

    Yes, definitely--

Make sure you're moving for at least 30 minutes, and you're starting to sweat within 10 or so--you'll be torching calories fast!

    Sadie.

  • thanks!! Sadie

  • Heck yes they will--try it and see!

    xoSadie

  • Ah! the Wheel is a full backbend and the Bridge is with hips still on the floor. Either way, keep your shoulders away from your ears-those poses can crunch the neck and choke you. If it's still really uncomfortable after a minute, ask your doctor. You might have a blood pressure issue.

    Good luck! Sadie

  • Hey there,

Most yoga increases your height at least somewhat, because you lengthen all your muscles, so you gain that much more freedom in your spine. I used to be 5'7" but now I'm 5'8.5". Good luck! S

  • hi,there

i m 16 yr old girl.i wanna lose my calories.but if i eat less and do yoga my height may not grow.will my height grow if i do yoga.thanx in advance

  • Hi!

You will actually grow leaner and taller if you do yoga. Also, don't eat less than 1500 calories a day or your metabolism will slow down and you won't lose weight or grow properly. Keep it in balance, do yoga, and you'll look and feel great! Let me know how it goes. xoSadie

  • Just do this power-type yoga for 45-60 minutes 3-4 times a week, eat fresh foods and not too many calories [but more than 1200 per day]. You will lose fat from all over, and really tone the arms.

    xoSadie

  • Hi there,

Yes, it's harder if you're heavier, but this will help! xoxoSadie

  • Hey there. Read my replies here and in the Yoga for Weight Loss video. You'll find all the info you need. 3-4 times a week is best, 4 is way more effective than 3. Do not east fewer than 1200 calories per day or you will slow your metabolism. When you hit your desired weight, eat more like 1500-1800 per day and keep exercising. One day a week eat twice as much as usual to shock your metabolism into staying high. Good luck!!! xoxosadie

  • hi, i wanna lose some fat from my arms, any suggestion?thanx:)

  • Hi there!

This style burns about 5-550 calories per hour for a 150 lb woman...It works miracles on the arms too.

I eat the weekly sweets, but keep my calories down to 1500 max per day, with one meal a week where I eat whatever I want. It seems to shock the metabolism and keeps me fit. I do yoga 3-4 times a week for one hour, and depending on your body, you'll see some results within 2 weeks, and more the longer you do this but you have to partner your diet with it. xoxosadie

  • Thanks for saying so;)

In order to lose fat, you've got to eat fewer calories than you burn, but not so few that your metabolism slows down. Aim for 1500 calories, from fresh, healthy sources each day, and do one hour of yoga like this one [power] 3 times a week, Walk more when you can, take the stairs instead of the escalator, etc. Let me know how it goes!

    xoSadie

  • Hi there,

I don't know what the "while" pose is--you may be hearing it differently. Could you explain it to me? Sometimes when we go upside down, the pressure on the head can make it hurt a little. Make sure you're not squeezing your shoulders up around your neck, which can compress the bloodflow. Let me know which pose and I'll see what I can tell you. xoxoSadie

  • It's awesome to learn yoga because it truly is a perfect exercise form. Have fun, work hard...and look HOT!!!

    xoxoSadie

  • Hello!

Im a fan of you.....this is my 1st time posting

    Great videos!

    Thanks...

    Keep posting.

Can I ask: Are you vegetarian, vegan, eat raw?

    Do you drink coffee?

I have a little belly I've tried everything!! But nothing....any advice?...do you also do abs? Thanks in advance

  • Hi there,

I only do my yoga 3-4 times a week for an hour, and I walk about a mile a day naturally because I live in NYC. My diet is healthy, but I'm not a strict vegetarian or vegan. I don't drink coffee, but that's because I'm allergic to caffeine. Also, I don't eat wheat or gluten products, and I did de-bloat when I quit.

Try to eat fewer calories than you burn, I tend to aim for 1500 calories a day, no matter what I eat.

My abs work is buit into this yoga--it's all you need! xoSadie

  • Yay--welcome to the practice!

Keep it up and let me know what else I can do for you.

    xoxoSadie

  • I just started practicing yoga and I love this series of videos - thank you for sharing this with us, Sadie!

  • how long youve been practicing yoga.you do poses gracefully.

  • Thanks!

I've been doing yoga for about 15 years. And I looked nothing like this when I started. I was super tight, overweight [40 lbs], and scared of all inversions. I wasn't strong in my body like this either. Yoga transformed me, and so I know it can do it for anyone.

    xoxoSadie

  • thankyou

  • You're welcome!

    xoSadie

  • "something you want to throw into the fire"

You mean something we want to get rid of?

  • well, I'd say more like something that's been holding you back that you'd like to throw into the "fire of transformation", or Tapas in Sanskrit. Yoga can help you transform, dissolve blocks and turn your resistances into freedom. So in a way, yes, you're getting rid of it, but on a more masterful level, you're using it, shifting your perspective, and taking that energy forward in a new way that helps you instead of harms. xoSadie
