This is so weird man!!! In Adelaide ( oz ) most people record in The Cave... Its mega RELAXED and heaps fun there, slamming our local beers and having a laugh.. I couldn't do this whole stagnate professional thing...Some jaded old cunts need to get back in touch with their youth... Which is having enthusiasm and fun with music.

Well, Ihsahn IS professional, and cares about the music more than he cares about "Slamming his local beers". Even back in the days of Emperor, Ihsahn was more professional than the people around him. While everyone else was out killing people and burning churches, he was perfecting his music. I bet you he's having loads of fun recording this way, and he is in no way a "jaded old cunt."

I still find it hard to believe he is mastering an 8-fucking-string guitar! This man is a TRUE KVLT GENIUS! Opeth used to be my favorite band for the guitar complexity, but, while I still love Opeth, IHSAHN has surpassed them in sheer progressive prowess alone! I loved the song Ihsahn did with Akerfeldt on the last album and hope they work together again, or better yet, form a new SUPERGROUP with the drummer from AKERCOCKE and the bass player from MASTER!
