Crazy running around with just T-shirts....says the moron who has a cold, coughing. The Brawl track gives more atmosphere. The track sounded sad and calm, much like a real town in the winter.

Hey, there is a different backstory to the Brawl version... they stole the Mother 3i track and changed the opening. Really. Look it up. Same with Porky's Theme, they stole Form Utopia. (I think it's the second part of that track)

I'm sure Itoi was OK with this, though. I'm not slamming the music, it's pretty cool that they used the actual official remix made by the original composer.

When I hear the MOTHER version of Snowman, and I mentally compare it with the SSBB version, I realize that the 2 versions sound extreamly similar, and I love both versions, although the SSBB version, I can never hear it without thinking of abandoned zoos and the sound of propellors.

I disagree. I think all 3 versions (from mother 1, earthbound, and mother 3) lead to the arrangement of the mother 3+ CD version (eg M1 version - original melody, EB/M3 versions - instruments and bass notes closer to M3+ version than the M1 version is) and of course the brawl one sounds almost exactly like the M3+ version. so really, the brawl one is based on all 3 versions.

Actually, Brawl's version is ripped directly from the Mother 3 soundtrack CD, Mother 3+. It isn't completely redone, it just takes the existing track and adds some effects. This was also done with Porky's Theme, which was ripped straight from the soundtrack CD Mother 3i, as opposed to being completely redone.
