  • the best band !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • bought on vinyl and nearly cried when it started to skip

  • easily one of the best albums ever

  • @sirsadistic - of any rock band ever in the history of rock!! It is brilliant every time you play it, even almost 30yrs after it was released........

  • type in blackout on youtube and this song doesnt show till the 3rd page

    that is a total outrage

  • It's a blessing from the metal gods that Hetfield and Ulrich removed Mustaine from the equation..It's like takin a metal nucleus and splittin it in 2 ...end result Metallica.Megadeth!!

  • @McMadman2 But one Hell of A Band It Woulda Been. But Don't Bring Up That on a Scorpions Song, Its Disrespectful to talk about lesser Beings.

  • @Jeepqueen1234 Agreed!! and how disrespectful of me..guess i BLACKEDOUT!!!

  • Bloody Germans!! \m/

  • le meilleur album de scorpions

  • Big nose, I really had a big nose.

  • METAL is on of the best!

  • Blackout not the 1981

    This album release is 1982

  • Man this is an easy album to remember. Didn't the Blackout tour last like four years or something like that? The Scorpians sure rocked the US Festival back in 83. Anyways, sure miss Ulrich Roth with the band.

  • Elladara!!!

  • i like the part that gos ba babababa

  • nada como scorpion hermano fue es y sera siempre lo mejor

  • One of those tunes that just never gets old. Good stuff... Love it!

  • That guitar solo is sooo epic!

  • Saw them on this tour. Rockin!

  • Is all hope gone for good music to come back?

  • Where the hell is the dislike bar. Scorpions are too Epic

  • I FUCKING BOUGHT THIS ON VINYL and guess what i am from the justin bieber generation but this is better xD

  • @temartk12 There's a Justin Beiber generation? Since when did he become that important? o.O

  • i really had a bbbbbllllllaaaaaaccccccckkkkkkk oooooooouuuuuuuttttttttt! fuck me!!!! (<......

  • @Guyverhoeven I would agree with your comment. The "thrash till death, kill all posers" is pure all crap. But your way of putting it "i fucking hate/closeminded" kinda make you one of them in my book. Yeah i think its retarted too but i won't go out or come in youtube make a big deal. Whether i like Brutal Death or Glam Rock, Rock is there to be a part of our life not to make us have useless fights about genres.

  • I love the Scorpions & that album cover

  • @resdsox1 Over the Virgin killer album cover?

  • @cheesydarkside I like that album & that cover too but I like the Blackout album & the cover better but Virgin killer is a great dont get me wrong on that

  • michael schenker help paved the way for iron maiden, mettalica, they were all listening to MSG and UFO and the SCORPIONS,taking notes from michael schenker.............

  • scorpions are the best of metal

  • I thought this album came out in 1982? Anyway love i love the tune, this is real hard rock, with a touch of metal.

  • @bassmanjoe Yep it was 1982.

  • First tape I ever bought! My grandmother got me a gift card for $10 to Sears & I ran right out to buy this album (tape). Damn I'm getting old, LoL. STILL have the tape =)

  • SOPA/PIPA blackout day today immediately made me think of this song and I hope someone puts together a video, with this song, showing all the sites that decided to "blackout."

  • I really have a SOPA blackout today.

  • This video has been chosen for January 18, 2011 post on Facebook Page: Random Daily Classic Rock Song

  • exacte 1987

  • saw the Scorps three times..... final time in 1987 and they stole the show at monster's of rock laying waste to van halen, dokken, metalica and kingdom come...... does anyone know if they will tour USA in 2012 for the final shows???

  • @goblue1967 - where did you see Monsters at? Scorps put on a good show - but they did not blow away Metallica or Van Halen - Dokken was quite good also - Kingdom Come was the opener. Scorps fired a lot of their management team during/after the tour because Metallica out sold them in merch something like 40/1. Scorps couldn't figure out why - the tour with Metallica really knocked them down the Metal ranks and they rapidly turned to the commercial side and never came back.

  • @dsrocknroller - great "break thru" album for the Scorps - although I'd choose Lovedrive as my fav old school Scorps....1982 - Scorps/Blackout, Priest/ScreamforVeng, Maiden/Number.....awesome stuff

  • i saw the Scorpions open for AC/DC, the REAL BON SCOTT BITCHES!!, who opened for Journey in San Anton, Tejas freaks!!!! sooooooooooo f'ed up, after rocking out hard for the first 2, straight to sleep for "wheel in the sky".....lol

  • no band can beat scorpions, lagend 4 ever

  • When u thin

k of heavy meatal think of the seventies eighteis from way back helter skelter of Beatles.

  • Scorpions are a heavy metal band period

  • Veeeeeeeeeryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooodddddddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!

    The real heavy metal!

Vocal, guitars, bass and drums in a perfect harmony.

These days, heavy metal is dead!

  • Comment removed

  • @66birabira66 I agree with you, but you have to take into account that If people still listening Metal and Rock, Tis music never will be dead. I agree in that the metal made nowdays is very bad. Sorry if i have mistakes, my english is no very good (Im spanish)

  • @66birabira66 Its far from dead.

  • @66birabira66 I wouldn't say heavy metal is dead. It's just in a coma. Like in the late 90's, before Pantera kicked everyone in the face with Cowboys from Hell.

  • scorpions - excellent melancholic melodic catchy hard rock metal ..... thank god for the Scorpions!

  • First time I heard this song, my dad was playing his old LP of this album when I was around...11.

Thanks dad, for raising me on real stuff, not this crap they call "metal" these days.

  • This is metal, whether you like it or not

  • 3 people had a blackout.

  • LAKE PONCH

  • heel ya guitars ringing-lite it up

  • headphones are a necessity on this one

  • bringing another meaning to "raw" solo work

  • 2:46 same note on metallica's struggle within at 2:23 :D

    fuck, i'm bored xD

  • Hablen español pendejes!

  • does anyone know about this song?

  • co wy paplecie ???

  • This was 1st show I saw w/the Scorps. Them & Iron Maiden together in Oakland. Still have ticket stubb. Those were the times 4 metal. Was right B4 speed metal/thrash hit the scene. Metallica's 1st album, Exodus' 1st & Megadeth's 1st are the best of those, I believe. But, folks started having a cult attitude, like: "If you're Metal, then this is what it is and nothing other than this is Metal, blah, blah, blah." Most bands who were true, original metal didn't even label themselves.

  • @LandSnipe415 i fucking hate all that closeminded douchebaggery that came with thrash.I can't stand all those idiots who make up these retarded rules in metal like ''You gotta wear this, listen this,MUST hate that'' and blablabla....

Metal was all about making fun, not acting as if where following some stupid religion.

  • @Guyverhoeven

I hear U, man. It was like some bands wanted blind idiot followers(cult). Used 2 hear shit like, "Ynqwie is God!" I'm not religious, but thought it weird when fans bowed 2 rock stars while saying it. There were a few level headed thrash fans I knew tho. Not all were idiots. Some just dug the jams. 4 me, that's what it was about, the music. From Stadium Rock 2 Underground, Thrash, Hardcore & Punk. I don't need to follow 'em. I just like killer music. And, know what U mean.

  • @Guyverhoeven Thrash metal is a lot of fun while also addressing thematic heavy who started dictate terms were black metallers.

  • @Dionese17 Im not saying i don't like Thrash metal or their scene, but i just hate the whole level of closemindedness around it. And yes Black Metal is even worse. But then again, its also the reason why Black Metal is the least succesfull sub-genre, its stuck in its own crappy rules.

my opinion? Listen whatever the fuck you want, even if its regarded as crappy, thats whats metal all about, tough lots of people can't realize.

  • @Guyverhoeven I agree, and those idiots who say: "MEGADETH IS AWESOME, METALLICA SUCKS" and vice versa

WTF, they are both great, STFU, enjoy the music and STFU

  • @MrTURBOJOHN Megadeth did not sell out. Metallica sold out big time. Dave Mustane formed his own band because the metallica pussies kicked him out.

  • I think it was in this song that Klaus Meine lost his voice cause he screamed pretty much in this song, especially at the end of the song. That album-picture looks like something from the No One Like You-music video.

  • it would have been cool if they had continued in this direction

  • @123headbang

They had the PERFECT opportuniy to be the greatest. This album was my 1st of their's & then it turned out 2 B their latest I purchased ever. Got Love Drive w/that big blue scorpion on it, 'cause back then the original cover w/the bubble gum stretching off of that woman's breat was banned in the U.S. Now, it's the only 1 U can get in a reg. CD store. Would love 2 get one of those blue scropion t-shirts from back in the day. This direction, continued would've been awesome.

  • all back to 80s

  • defining band by what came AFTER is stupid. Heavy Metal grew out of blues and boogie. What most of you call metal we called thrash or even speed metal. Heavy guitar riffed melodic driving music like this WAS Metal.

  • @davedzone I agree. (speed) metal (like in past metallica) actually rejects the blues scale. unlike f.e. heavy metal deep purple.

  • @STuRMBR1NGER to some degree sure, but the flat fifth shows up all over Metallica's solos, just phrased around a mode with darker qualities than the blues, Phrygian often times.

  • Great Song!

  • Who cares if their Hard Rock or Metal? SCORPS FUR IMMER! \m/

  • κομματαρα ! μεγαλοι !

  • i was 11, fuck yeah dude. bring it on

  • im glad my dad showed me this band when i was like 4,i still listen to them til this day and they will never get old!

  • @THRASHFOREVER420 never get old is right! 2 bad they not around much

  • Dude just kicked in my door, Duct taped me and ate my wifes sandwhich. It was hot.

  • The Scorpions helped pave the way for metal. Metal was much different in the 80's. The way the guitar is played is what makes metal metal. Dont be stupid. Next you'll say Iron maiden isn't metal either. Monsters of rock bitch, Scorpions and maiden same venue, you think IRON FUCKING MAIDEN would play with a band that wasn't metal?

  • @MrGrassnake21 Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, and Iron Maiden are the godfathers of Metal. Scorpions were walking the path that was already paved by the aforementioned bands.

  • @dmoney69696969 A judas priest fan i suppose!

Do you know that bands like Iron Maiden were opening for scorpions?

Also the 3 first heavy metal bands are

    Led Zeppelin-Black Sabbath-Deep Purple!

  • @LiverpoolGreece4ever Deep Purple and Led Zepplin are not metal.

  • @dmoney69696969 HAHAHAAHA!ARE YOU KIDING ME?

They are pure metal!Metal is not only metallica you know!

  • @dmoney69696969 I'll agree with Zeppelin, but Purple was definitely a metal band

  • @M3talThrash1ngMad Hard rock is more like it.

  • @dmoney69696969 so then you'd be saying that Black Sabbath is a "hard rock" band too

  • @M3talThrash1ngMad No. There's many differences between Black Sabbath's music and Deep Purple's music. If you can't discern those differences then I can't help you.

  • @dmoney69696969 Speaking factually and chronologically, early 70s Sabbath was very dronish and downbeat. Deep Purple (same era) was more upbeat.

  • @MultiDannyboy89 Lyrically, Sabbath was a lot darker than Purple.

  • @MultiDannyboy89 Yeah I agree.

  • @dmoney69696969

That would be a BIG 10 NO. The Scorpions were formed in 1965, Black Sabbath 1969, Judas Priest also in 1969, and Iron Maiden in 1975. The Scorpions are the Godfathers of metal.

  • @001doriangrey Look.Scorpions released their first album at 1972,while b.s. at 1970 and judas priest in 1974!The first heavy metal scorpions album is fly to the rainbow at 1974!

They are from the first heavy metal bands! However they"re mostly hard rock!

  • @LiverpoolGreece4ever

Which does not change the fact that the band was formed in 1965 and had a substantial following throughout Germany long before their first record was recorded. They were always a "Metal" band, if you think Lonesome Crow isn't metal maybe you should listen to it again.

  • @MrGrassnake21 I think iron maiden's tour manager who does all the booking for them would let them play with a band that isn't metal.

  • @MrGrassnake21 You know iron maiden was opening for scorpions!

However i agree with you! They"Re heavy metal AND hard rock!

    Virgin killer is metal

Still loving you is hard rock!

  • @MrGrassnake21 well... the did open for kiss actually

  • @MrGrassnake21 HAHAHAHA WHAT? YOU'RE NOT MAKING ANY SENSE... AND I'M DRUNK AND TYPING ALL CAPZ. NOW SHUT UP AND B.L.A.C.K. O.U.T.

  • @whalerofthestars I think i was drunk when i said this stuff too. But I have been listening to metal since i was like 11. im 25 now. Pretty sure I know what metal is buddy. And to every one on here, fuck it, it's good music so shut up and listen god dammit.

  • @MrGrassnake21 They played with Airbourne the last time I saw them... Not sure about you, but Airbourne sound identical to AC/DC, who called themselves "rock n roll"... Jus' sayin'... I do agree though, The Scorps are metal

  • Thumbs up if you used to jack up the volume at the end of this song! lol

  • rumah aku x karan no electricity

  • Excellent record! Thanks for posting. Just excellent ass-kickin rock! No fluff or costumes. Just kicks ass! Man I miss those days!

  • SCORPIONS ARE HEAVY METAL-HARD ROCK!

    WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

  • bad-ass album..better than their mid to late 80's stuff IMO!!!

  • scorpions are considered metal

  • holy shit i have the record of this from my uncle knowi wish my record [layer worked

  • all people that doesn´t like this music had a blackout and puted like in this 1 :P

  • excelente banda

  • NO COMENT....

  • led zeppelin deep purple scorpions are the best 3 metal bands for me.

  • @93sbooh93 Scorpions is a rock band from Hannover, Germany, formed in 1965 by guitarist [...]

    source: wikipedia

  • @TheTworcaRemol well obviously u and @mousou92 have some problem i don't know u can't see or what... wiki says: Scorpions is a heavy metal/hard rock band from Hannover, Germany, formed in 1965 by guitarist Rudolf Schenker, who is the band's only constant member....but anyway who cares you can consider it the hell as u want im not bothering anymore

  • @mkmustng I got that beat!

I saw Scorpians at the US festival. We were 300,000 strong that day and what a day it was! I got drunk, stoned, and laid, but the one thing I didn't do and still regret was not visiting those technology exhibits Woz had setup. I hear it was pretty cool.
