Hi foxaylibrarian! Is my painting still displayed outside the library entrance? This painting has been purchased and added to the PAFA Fellowship (Alumni) Collection, so obviously I was also a student there. Great School! I wish you all the best in your studies. Thanks for making the connection.

scan a real picture, then add many different filters until you get something completely different, then cancel one by one all the filters and you have same result, stop praising those kind of fag!!
neonro, that's an interesting perspective, but not true! At least a couple of commenters here have seen this actual painting and know I did indeed paint it. Perhaps next time I should utilize a real video camera instead of 30 digital still photos. Nothing has been faked here. It is just simply the application of oil paint onto a wood panel, and recorded at various states of completion by some digital snapshots. For proof, observe how I corrected the drawing of the toes; they move!
LOL, that's pretty funny. What you are seeing here is a free demo by one of the very best oil painters working currently (and he's a real gentleman, too) - some people really *can* paint this well, and "Apotheon" is in the first rank.
The recording is an early Victor Record from the 1910's, played on an antique 1913 Victrola wind-up record player. This was in turn, recorded digitally by holding my Mac PowerBook laptop in front of that old wooded speaker! The specific recording is "Suonne sunnate" composed by Rainone-Capolongo, it's in the Neapolitan genre, and sung by the tenor Eugenio Torre, with orchestra acompianment. This is Victor Record catalog number 16719-B, and the label has a last patent date of May 1, 1912.
The boy was a friend from Sunday School I photographed 25 years ago, so he must be about 36 by now! The feet are his mother's who has lately been using a walker!
Thanks everyone for the comments! This painting is currently (until October 15) on display at the Plastic Club in Philladelphia (Catalog # 1), and has been SOLD, as part of the Fellowship Collection of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
Thanks kryptoncolomo! This painting measures 14.5 x 14 inches (37 x 35.5 cm).

Question: Did you really paint on unprimed wood? That's what it looks like. Was it varnished?
RentAnEducation 4 years ago
Yes, the panel was primed and sealed; good question. The oil paint did not sink into the wood.

Good representational art!!! but the soundtrack
should be used to interrogate al qaeda suspects
instead of waterboarding, it would be more humane and really effective.

This painting has won awards. It's the real deal.
There are still artists in the world who can paint very well. Just because you can't do it doesn't mean it can't be done.
